Dropping out of a Masters

    Hello all,

    I have commenced a masters this year and have only paid half my fees to cover this semester. The second half isn't due until January but I'm having doubts about my course and am thinking of dropping out. I was wondering if I would still have to pay fees for the other half of the year even if I drop out well before then?

    Any information would be really appreciated!

    There's some date when you can get your money back if you drop out by then. Get thee to your tutor or the senior tutors office as soon as possible. Go go

    I haven't been given a tutor yet! Ahhh! That would be amazing! Are you sure that's not just undergrads though? Didn't think you could with a masters...

    No idea on current regulations, just going on memory. If no tutor, go to the senior tutors office pronto.

    Postgrads do not have tutors. The Postgraduate Advisory Service offers those supports at postgrad level: http://www.tcd.ie/Senior_Tutor/postgraduate/

    Hi Lola1987 I am just wondering how that went? I am in a similar position but have payed all my fees. I am a good student but I am not liking my course and I feel that my motivation is slowly dying :( I did not like this course from the second week but was stressed with other things, and I kept thinking that it would get better, to properly look at my options.

    I am still not sure whether to stick it out or just leave it!

    I will schedule a meeting with a postgrad advisor...... :(
