Citing for Tutorials?

I'm doing a report for an English tutorial, and it asks for a summary of a critical essay in approximately 250 words. If I quote from this and use some paraphrased points, do I need to cite where I got it in the essay?

I know you have to for Mid-Term essays and so forth, but just not sure about this...

    Cheers. :D

I'd assume that if the task is to summarise a particular essay and you highlight that in the title, it's assumed that you got it from there - you'd already have stated that the entire thing is a summary of someone else's work. Quotes go within quote marks.

(assumption is, of course, one of the most dangerous things in the world)
