    Yeah they suspect its gonna be between 2-3 hours, it makes sense as his rate of ascent will slow the higher he gets

    I thought the terminal velocity of a human being would not have broken the sound barrier. Is it because of jumping from so high up that this can be done ?

    the terminal velocity depends on the density of the air he is falling through, up at 120,000 feet the air is very thin so he will break the sound barrier

    as air thins theres less friction. less friction faster speeds...

    as he descends he'll slow down because of friction
