    do you mean sharing tractors and jobs rather than a parthship?, if its sharing machinery, the farmers have to respect the machinery be quite similar in how they use them(not bleggard them). i duno about shared milking. one herd is enough for me:)

    I think it has scope in tillage, particularly to moderate the boom-or-bust nature of conacre and to spread the risk & reward to the landowner and "farmer".

    in a dairy id reckon you would need to be milking 170 cows at least

    I agree - I think it has potential in tillage

    Not sure about cows unless you are talking a large herd - and then a large herd divided in 2 is little if any better off than a smaller herd not divided
