    Hi all,

I'm looking to expand my diet to go with my latest gym craze, and also compensate for the fact I've been broke as all hell recently.

Currently my diet mostly consists of Peanut Butter, Cottage cheese, Wholemeal Baps, Tuna Cans, and Salami, eggs n oats etc from LIDL. As obviously I'm getting sick of this I want to find somewhere that sells bulk/cheap chicken or turkey. (not really impressed with LIDLs selection/prices here for once)

I wouldn't mind having to buy a shedload and just freezing most of it.

Failing that just gimme high protein foodz please!

This would probably do better in Health and Fitness/Nutrition but it looks like all food threads from there are getting moved to here?

    Cheers all

You should try your local butchers.

My local butchers (Dublin meat co) does great offers. 10 chicken fillets for €10 etc and the quality of the meat is good. They also do really good weekly specials.

worth checking out their website or having a look in your own local butchers.

Ah! A butchers! Why didn't I think of that?!

Seriously though that Dublin Meat Co looks savage and just the ticket, unfortunately the shops are all northside and I'm too broke atm to go getting deliveries. Though as soon as I have the cash I'm getting that 38 euro protein deal off them. Fook I'm hungry just thinking of it..

I should have been a bit more specific I guess. Anyone know a good cheap southside butchers? Around D6/D8 for preference but no biggie if it's further away. (Just not as far as Artane/Swords, sound)

FX Buckley's on Moore Street - got 7 ginormous chicken leg/thighs for a fiver in there the other week.

Not quite South Side but walkable from D8.

There's another butchers further down that street that does boned, rolled and stuffed turkey joints (dark meat for extra nommage) for about 7.50 and you'd get 6 big portions out of it.
