More of a chance of Chris Benoit getting in sadly.
Does Nash want to go in? Didn't he say he couldn't give a toss about the HOF.

Foley is a certainty considering that WM29 is in his back yard. Most likely to be inducted by Terry Funk.
William Regal is also a possibility, but might be too soon

As I said last year, I'd like to see Steve Lombardi (aka The Brooklyn Brawler), or possibly Mike Rotunda (aka Irwin R. Shyster).

    How do you figure that?

I think that's a misguided statement if ever there was one. Owen could be, if the family lobbied.

    Owen's wife won't allow it

Do you think Vince McMahon would induct Benoit before Martha Hart would let Owen be inducted? :-?

I was watching the "Timeline - 95" shoot with Nash the other day and he said he wouldn't want to be inducted until some one else was inducted first. Think he said Rick Rude.

The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith is a glaring omission in my opinion. Became a mainstream star on this side of the pond, was very good in the ring and is surely a step above Koko B. Ware (no offence Frankie). There's even the outside options of inducting the The British Bulldogs tag team, Owen Hart & Davey Boy together or the Hart Foundation as a whole. Would love to see him go in.

Any other suggestions as to who should be inducted? Realistically.

Reckon the Hart Foundation (the five piece) is the most likely of the lot. It would get Neidhart and Davey in the one go with the added bonus of Pillman and Owen. Surely they wont need permission from Owen's missus to induct the group.

I think they need permission to use his name considering it's his actual name. Foley will be the big draw considering where it is and if they have a huge name lined up I think they might hold onto it til 30. Who would be the biggest star to go in who's not in at this stage?

Martha got pissed when they put Owen in dvds so she won't turn a blind eye to them. Can't see it happening anyway with Linda's poxy senate run wwe don't want to take a risk that her opponents would say Wrestlers are dying on the McMahon's clock. I would like to see Bigelow and Rick Rude put in too but that won't happen either for fear of mudslinging. When wwe are taking down controversial videos on the internet you know its bad.
Wonder would Heyman or The Rock be considered?

    taker to coincide with 30

The Undertaker won't be inducted until he has well and truly wrestled his last match I think.

If we're talking celebrity wing then Mike "BAAAAADEST Man on the Planet" Tyson has to go in. Was in the Main Event of one of the most important Wrestlemania bouts of all time. The mainstream media attention at the time was off the charts. Certainly deserves it more than Bob Uecker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,177 ✭✭✭DenMan

It's about time Lex Luger was inducted imo.

He's already in it, he was inducted this year.

If you're talking about people who had a direct contribution to the world of wrestling, then Jim Johnson should be inducted into the hall of fame

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,364 ✭✭✭paddyismaddy

savage should have been in already what happened was he on bad terms with wwe before he died?

if he goes in so should miss elizabeth or is she in already?

foley will more likely be the big name but was thinking is it too soon for lesnar now he is back maybe him and his missus sable could go in

I know it's not the WWE but does anybody know much about TNA's Hall of Fame coming up? Any WWE wrestlers already inducted due to be put in by TNA?

As far I know, it's only the one induction, Sting by Lex Luger. They could probably get the best part of ten years with just one per year.

    12: Sting
    13: Jarrett
    14: Styles
    15: Angle
    16: Hogan
    17: AMW/Storm

Who's to say after that? Roode could be a HOF'er by then. Abyss would be in with a shout too but that would likely be a multi induction year rather than a single induction. Likewise Daniels, Aries, Sabin etc. Gail Kim would be a good choice for the first female too.

It's more of a PR issue than a legal one. WWE finding a roundabout way to induct Owen without his wife's permission wouldn't go down too well with the media.

I'd like to see it but from WWE's point of view his induction is simply not necessary other than as a token gesture. They don't need the controversy.

Is Christain not taking part in it hence he has been off WWE tv for a while apart from taking part in the video thing with the brogue kick

Demolition Ax and Smash, longest ever WWF Tag team Champions, how they have not been inducted, i dont know, The Big Bossman and possibly One Man Gang/Akeem. Is the Honky Tonk Man in the HoF? Also i think big Sexy/Juicy?
Kevin Nash will be further down the line, but will be entered.

Christian is supposed to be at the TNA Hall Of Fame as it was part of the agreement WWE had with TNA when Ric Flair was inducted this year with the Horsemen

Axe/Bill Eadie sued WWF at the time for merchandise royalities, won big and the discovery process made a holy show of WWE as it revealed Wrestler's royalties were B.S. and simply made up. There's bad blood there. In WWE official history they have been diminished as simply Road Warrior clones and something WWE did until the Road Warriors/Legion of Doom signed with them.

JBL might be one this year? Heyman maybe? Sid Vicious?? Vader?? Steiners?? Worthier than a few others already there! But it's barrell scraping because everyone who's out is out for other reasons. DX maybe as a group?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,759 ✭✭✭✭dlofnep

I'd like to see Savage in there, but it should really have happened when he was alive. It would have no merit doing it now. I'd like to see Ken Shamrock in there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,050 ✭✭✭token101

Chyna should really be in there for her stuff with the IC belt, the Rumble appearance, etc. But then again she's a drug addled pornstar and Republican voters aren't big on those.

Vader should definitely go in at some point. One of the best ever. Quite an intelligent man too and well traveled too, so his speech should be good.

Is Perfect in it yet? If not, would like to see him inducted by Bret or Shawn. They both had a lot of respect for him and would have plenty of good stories to tell.

Agreed on Vader, a sure head turner in an airport if ever there was one. Didn't Perfect go in already, inducted by Wade Boggs the based all player ( I think that's his name). Told a great story about Curt saving his life if I recall correctly.
