GW 6 - Transfers

It seems that there may not have been as much of a knee jerk reaction yesterday as there is in most other game weeks.

I'm unsure what to do this GW, the mid division and weaker teams have easier games coming up. I'm unsure whether I want to alter my master plan to bring in a player from a "weaker" team to get rid of him in two weeks.

I have Larsson who has dropped 0.2m on me but he has given some returns with two assists. I'm hoping he'll start to go up in value and I'll get at least 0.1m back.

So who are you transferring out this week?

Kagawa is gone unless he delivers something decent today. I'd be looking for him to play at least 70 minutes too because he seems to come off after 60 or so in most games and, for his price, I'd prefer to have Nolan or Fellaini who are guaranteed 90 and are cheaper.

Thinking to cash in on Michu, 2 points in the last 2 games.

Dont swansea have relatively easier games coming up?
He was unlucky against Villa and Everton are no pushovers. They definitely hae Reading and Wigan at home in the next couple of weeks. Might be worth keeping him tll after that.

Torres out, the useless prick.......fletcher in
    possibly sterling in for noble

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 80 ✭✭nedzer2011

Brought in Cazorla and Anichebe for Michu and Jay Rodriguez (being waiting the last 3 GWs to get rid). My thinking is that Michu will fall in value while Cazorla will surely rise in value once they get the City game over. Anichebe could be good for a few points while Jelavic is out.

Bit of a knee jerk and had to take a 4 point hit, but reckon it was worth it to be able to afford Cazorla and finally get rid of Rodriguez!

Graham's out (for Fletch, Berba or Richard Lambert) and Rangel is probably out too. But Swansea's fixtures are too good to let Michu go yet.
I thought of Anichebe too but when Jelavic returns, he won't play, and it would take a lot of rearranging to get a decent third striker.

Torres and Guthrie out - This week was the last chance for both of them.
    Ba and Fellaini in.
No points lost as I was planning this from last week, kept last weeks transfer and used up this weeks too.

Yeah, I've a bit of regret over Anichebe but it was more a case of plugging the value leak of Rodriguez with something temporary that I could afford.

Despite Swansea's fixtures coming up, I really think that they (and Michu) are going to drop like a lead balloon after the early season wins. Whatever about Everton, Villa (who beat the Swans relatively comfortably) seem to be as weak as any team in the league.

    Famous last words!!!

I think Swansea are looking like the wheels are falling off their cart. Could be time to cash in on Michu. Might look at a cheaper alternative and upgrade to a United or Arsenal defender when they hit a good run of fixtures. Need to make a decision on Cuellar too. Have 2 transfers this week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭mufcboy1999

I wouldn't cash in on michu yet either, Swansea have decent fixtures coming and I reckon they will bounce back but nolan does look a good reliable replacement.

Il have to make a call on cullar myself, anyone know if he will be back next week?

Also thinking of getting rid of kawaga for toure.

I'll most likely be getting rid of Kawaga as well.

Is it worth a 4 point hit for:

    Davies (Swansea) and Hazard

    To

    Baines and Fellaini

I don't really think Davies will hold down a place long term and the Swansea defence is gone to pieces anyway and hazard isn't maybe as crucial as we thought plus inevitable rotation coming for CL matches

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

Swansea have a tough trip away to Stoke and then 2 easy fixtures at home against Reading and Wigan. After that they have a run of difficult fixtures. I think that's when I'll dump. Can't see too many dropping him till after then.

Probably sell Nolan for Sterling. Need to free up funds to get in Tevez following week. Haven't decided yet

Unfortunately not the case for me! Was in a bad mood after getting injured in a match so decided to comfort myself with a wildcard, regretting it now!!

Zabaleta, Federici, Ceullar, Graham, and Torres are the only definites to get the chop. Maybe hazard or Kagawa.

Was it worth it? Probably not imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

4 point hit to get Baines in for Zabaleta. My first points hit of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,539 ✭✭✭basillarkin

2 free this week, Torres and Michiu out Fletcher and Felllani in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,736 ✭✭✭OctavarIan

No idea what transfers to make. Have two to use but no-one is jumping out as a better option to what I already have (within my budget). Need to upgrade Jenkinson eventually but that means losing one of my big hitters from Tevez/Van Persie/Cazorla/Hazard/Yaya, none of whom seem droppable. Argh!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,709 ✭✭✭✭Cantona's Collars

Torres & Routledge out,Fletcher & Fellaini in,feck it if it's cost me 4 points,Torres is losing me so many it'll hardly matter.

Too many damn tempting mid-price forwards, Ba, Berbatov, Fletcher and Lambert all in good form. I have Tevez and Vpersie taking up two slots but if Mancini starts juggling his forward line with Balotelli and Aguero fit again it's going to be very tempting to cash in and use the cash elsewhere..

Fair point. I'd planned to get Tevez in in 2 gw's time, but now i'm starting to wonder. rotation after champions league games especially could be a worry, now that they've got 4 fit strikers. I wouldn't have rested Tevez the form he's in, but Mancini is a strange sort

thinking of going tevez > ba to get baines in. leaves me with rvp ba flethcher up front. decent enough

Yeah, Baines was who I was looking to bring in with the spare cash, I could swap him for Jenkinson too and sort out another potential problem. I think I'm going to resist the urge to make the move this week and save the transfer for next week giving me another game to see what happens and avoiding the points hit.

I'm almost tempted to do it just to avoid the horrendous weekly Mancini guess-athon that drove me insane last year.

    Need help.
    Yaya or Santi?????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,727 ✭✭✭darego

    santi hands down :>

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,255 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Kagawa out. Fellaini in. It's not ideal to have both Pienaar and Fellaini but I can't make my mind up between the two so just decided, feck it, I'll go for both. Can transfer one out when I do make the decision.

I was thinking about Nolan but Fellaini put in a great performance yesterday and he should have had a goal Monday night too but for a poor linesman decision.

Their next two games are Saints at home and Wigan away too which are two decent fixtures.

    A
    Yaya to fellaini or pienaar?

    B

Yaya and Staylor to pienaar and baines
    4 point hit

    B Assou E out - Baines in
Pog out - Lambert in for 4 pt hit before price changes last night.

Trying to decide whether I should get rid of Yaya. Don't have Fellaini or Pienaar, so could do with everton coverage, and that move would save me about a million, that I could put into my defence.

I'm about to pull the trigger on Davies and hazard to Fellaini and Baines for a 4 point hit so I guess I'd say b; if you go with a, remember its easier to go from Fellaini to Pienaar than vice versa if you have no money like me, that's my reasoning for chosing between the two, it's hard to call if Fellaini or Pienaar will score more in their upcoming fixtures

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 704 ✭✭✭frisbeeface

My defence's rotation is terrible at the moment so I'm bringing in a Stoke defender to sort that out. Anybody know if wilson is nailed on, or is Shawcross a better bet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Pog out, Fletcher in. Was a close call between him and Berbs but just think he's more likely to get more gametime and Berbs can be hit and miss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Will probably do Yaya to Fellaini and possibly Hughes/Clarke to Raphael depending on injury news.

Got rid of Tevez. Really need to have strikers who are guaranteed starters. Tevez will more than likely be rotated with Dzeko and Balotelli now that Aguero is back. Was good while it lasted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,369 ✭✭✭LostBoy101

    1 WC to use.

Option A - Fabio for Barnett

Option B - Cocolini for McAuley

Option C - Tevez for Ba

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

    had 2 transfers so

    tevez to berbs
    jenkinson to baines

would of preferred to get rid of bertrand but only had exactly enough with jenkinson. was a toss up as to getting rid of tevez or torres. Tevez in better form but city have 4 very good strikers. Torres not in great form but no real competition for places, so going to stick with him until after the norwich game anyway.

C - because it's the one that is likely to change in prices most over the next week, you can do either of the other 2 the following week. I think Ba could rise by .2 this week and Tevez likely to drop at least .1, maybe in .2 before the next gw.

    Graham to Lambert
    Yaya to Sterling
    Bertrand to Baines.

The Bertrand experiment didn't work out, still if he becomes a regular midfielder for Chelsea he's straight back into the side.

Yaya is playing too deep I feel, he seems to get 20 or 30 minutes in the AM role a game but that's too little. I needed to get rid of someone for Baines and Michu doesn't clear enough to Yaya is the sacrificial lamb. Will probably get Yaya back in if he plays a more advanced role, which won't happen while City play with 2 up top.

Graham has been muck and I like the look of Lambert, he's on pens and frees too.

Also what position is Fellaini playing in exactly?

He's playing the role of all round hero at the moment.

I suppose he's playing in what was Cahill position.

He's playing behind the striker out to the right.

Looks like Everton have moved towards the fashionable 4-2-3-1 formation with Fellaini occupying that central position behind the man up top at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

thinking of tevez to ba and yaya to fellaini. maybe hold onto yaya and rid myself of michu. also considering a 4 point hit to get in baines. i have two transfers this week, thoughts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Fellaini and Raphael are hovering far too close to rising tonight for my linking so I think I'm going to go ahead and do

    Yaya to Fellaini
    Hughes to Raphael

    Hate Sunday transfers!

    any news on rafaels injury?
gave me a scare when i saw him coming off.

did Jarvis > Nolan straight after the game yesterday, happy to see he went up last night.

Got 79 points this week, only transfer im thinking of doing is dyer out, but have 0.0 in the bank, might save on the transfer till nxt gw.

Had 2 transfers saved: Fallaini and Ba in for Guthrie and Torres. Seemed a simple decision go make.

Way too early to get rid of Tevez, it was just one game and tevez played on tuesday, it was all about resting him. I ll guess its tevez&aguero who start against fulham, dzeko was afwul against arsenal.

If Tevez isnt at starting line up on saturday then its time say bye bye.

Michu had chances against Everton and Swansea has nice fixture.

    Stoke A, Reading H, Wigan H.

GW 9 im going to cash out mitchu.

Yaya to pienaar is better option imo,

Will have to wait for news regaring Rafael this morning but I have no real transfer in mind.

My 4 point hit at the weekend netted 13 points (17-4) and so I may do the same again. Clearly I need Everton representation, but am wary of jumping on the Felliani-wagon until examine his stats further.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,185 ✭✭✭G1032

Sold Torres last night and bought Ba. Have 2 free transfers this week so I might sell Jenkison and buy Baines. My most expensive defender is Rafael so I can afford one big gun defender. Exactly enough money to sell jenks and buy Baines so it'll have to be done soon before Baines goes up again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,736 ✭✭✭OctavarIan

Thing with Fellaini is if he reverts to playing a bit deeper and being a yellow card magnet it's really easy to make the switch to Pienaar.

Did Yaya-Fellaini myself as part of a longer term plan to fit in Baines. Have one other transfer left this week in case Rafael is out for any length of time. Baines is a better long term option than either Fellaini or Pienaar imo. I end up saying that every year when I don't have him from the start :P
