Pre Wedding Diet for him and her

Myself and my bridezilla!! Are undertaking a diet for the next 9 months to look better for the day

The tale of the tape is that I'm 30, 6ft tall and 15 & 3/4 stone. I'm fairly active playing GAA 2 to 3 evenings a week. Herself is 9 stone and goes for about 3 runs a week.

I've looked up some diet and training advice as I've obviously a share more to lose than herself and need to do a bit more.

The diet I've come up for us is

Breakfast: Porridge or 2 Boiled Eggs on whole wheat brown toast

    11s fruit

Lunch chicken/beef/fish and veg chicken curry and brown rice or chicken stir fry

    5.30 tuna sachet

8.30 post training whey protein shake

    10 casein protein shake

For training we want to combine cardio for our sports along with weight training. Thinking of 2 HIIT sessions and 2 MISS for cardio and 3 weight sessions. I know 7 days a week is tough but there is a deadline to get to at the end of the day

Can people critique the diet portion and perhaps give ideas of simple things to be an alternative to some options listed to keep things fresh.

    Any help is really apprecriated

One thing you need to remember is she needs nearly half the food you do. So adjust portions accordingly.

Don't really see the need for the protein shakes, as long as you get protein with every meal.

The key to losing weight is consistency and making all your own food. When you eat out you almost always have to compromise on your diet in some way.

Best of luck with the wedding!

Edited to say: Why no proper dinner?

I'm taking the dinner at lunch time really due to the demands of work/sport really.

Does it look pretty appropriate for someone looking to drop hopefully 2 stone while she wants to lose a 1/2 stone?

Yeah, you'll probably lose weight if you stick to this, from a health point of view I think a tuna sachet and two protein shakes isn't great nutritionally. You can cook some meat/fish potatoes and veg in no time at all or else eat microwave leftovers.

Is there any other food items that I could include as alternatives, I am not a fan of salads at all though!
