    Hi,

I'm, 6'1" and 200lbs, I want to re-build some muscle mass which has turned into fat as I have not been at the gym as much as I was.

I used to eat a lot of protein in the US but can't afford that sort of diet here, so want to get some sort of powder to suit me instead. I primarily do weight lifting with a little cardio thrown in.

I'd like to buy it somewhere reasonably priced, on-line or at a shop in Dublin.

    Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

    haha yeah much better.

had a long "discussion" with a woman today - shes an athletics coach - who maintained that muscle turned into fat when you stopped exercising.

No amount of talking would change her mind. People read stuff and stick with it forever.

The myprotein stuff is fairly cheap and is cheaper if you buy more of it.

Choc Mint is my own choice at the moment.,

They do sample sachets too, 25g for a euro so you can try all the flavours before buying too.

I'll agree with you on that one...muscle doesn't turn into fat, you can have 'muscle wastage' and 'fat gain'

gold standard does enjoy a fine reputation alright.

But if youre looking for a cheaper alternative, GS is €50 (with €25 off!)

You can get slightly more (2.5kg) on myprotein for €32
