buy one thats high in protein (around 80g per 100 or higher if you can) and low in carbs.

That way youre getting protein and not a mix.

Buy one that tastes nice. Obviously you wont know til after you buy, can you taste some of a friends? If you hate the taste like some peopel do then itll be a waste of money.

can I ask what are you going to the gym for if you dont want your muscles to get bigger?

And what kind of exercises do you do?

No you do not need creatine for your muscles to get bigger.

Seeings as youre such a beginner, I recommend reading the "stickies" the pinned threads on here about exercise and nutrition.

    Youll learn a lot.

Protein shakes aren't going to burn belly fat. If you find it isn't possible to get sufficient protein intake in your diet then they're great, as a supplement. It's what they're supplementing that will make the difference. Supplement meaning in addition to.

I always prefer to get my protein from actual food sources, but you're set on buying and it's recommendations on specific brands that you're after I think I can help as I've gone through tubs of the stuff over the years. Whenever I buy these days I buy online from my protein. Their true whey tends to be of better value and importantly it mixes and tastes good. I used to buy cnp pro peptide, which does the job and has a similar nutritional profile, but it's expensive nd I haven't seen it for sale in Ireland. I also used to buy usn protein... Can't remember the brand, but it had a great profile and the strawberry flavour mixed with water and ice tasted incredible.

Its all about nutrition. Clean diet of protein, good fats, above the ground veg. No processed foods especially breads of all types.

Don't believe the BS, unless your diet is deficient of protein you don't need it, it's just additional calories. Good clean nutrition and sleep is all you need for recovery.
