Huge game this week for my Ravens, really looking forward to it and the banter on here during it should be good too. Game is heightened a bit with both the Ravens and Patriots losing in week 2 and looking to bounce back and of course the AFC game from last season. Hopefully Pollard is back as that would be a big boost to the defense. My prediction in this one is that the Patriots will contain Ray Rice and the run game but the Ravens will get enough pressure on Brady to keep them in 3rd and long situations and give Flacco enough time with the ball to allow him to engineer a win in a close game.

Elsewhere I'm looking forward to seeing if Manning and the Broncos can bounce back against the Texans and the Falcons @ Chargers will be an interesting game too.

My bet for week 3 is: 49ers (-7), Steelers (-4), Jets (-1) which comes in at slightly over 6/1.

Things not looking good for the Giants.

Bradshaw, Nicks, Hixon and Diehl are all def out. Few more are game time decisions including Prince Amukamara. Going to away game on short week if the Giants can pull this one off it will be an excellent win.

Keys will be Eli finding Cruz early and often and big pressure on Martellus Bennett to step up even more. One of Barden, Randle and Jernigan will also need to step up with a few catches.

Ideally it would be perfect time for Tuck and Osi to show up for the 1st time this season as well.

Hate to say it but can't see them pulling it out.

Narrow 3 point win for Cam and his Panthers i'm afraid :(

I agree, like the Panthers in this game, Giants loss to the Cowboys, then struggled to beat TB, coupled with the injuries and quick turnaround from Sunday.. have to fancy Panthers by 7 pts..

Good games this w/e, especially the 9pm slot, SD/Atl, Den/Hou and the late game Balt/Pats....

    Treble is Pitt (-4.5), Atl (+3) & SF (-7)....

What do you like about St Louis on the road can I ask?

I think the Panthers should win tonight. We looked bad enough in the first game against the Bucs who then went onto beat the Giants last week. We looked much better at home on sunday and I'm hoping home field advantage will be key for this one with the short turnaround.

Also I'm delighted that we get to see Cam in prime time this year !

Going with the Panthers to win by 3 tonight just cant see NYG gettin the job done especially without Bradshaw and Nicks.

Overs all the way for me

Well I looked at it that Carolina depend on their running game to leave space open down the field but the Giants DL is pretty beastly without extra help and then you got four starters missing off the Giants offense in Bradshaw, Nicks, Diehl and Hixon.

Please don't let it be serious, can't afford to lose Pierre-Paul :(

The way Brown is going the question is going to be if Bradshaw will get his job back!

It's crazy. Waived 7 times by teams.

Carolina arent going to win **** until they revamp that defence. It's not as if they dont have the pieces there either. Beason, Johnson, Kuechly, Godfrey... Maybe Rivera should just go hands on, he knows his stuff on that side of the ball

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,260 ✭✭✭Joekers

Panthers need to sort their defence out quickly or this will be a rout no matter what Cam Newton can do

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,414 ✭✭✭✭Trojan

2nd quarter, 10-nil and 1st and goal. If Giants score on this drive it's starting to look very ominous for Panthers.

With the injuries coming into the game I was concerned. Can't believe how well they are playing. The pass protection and run game has been brilliant. A rarity for the Giants!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,147 ✭✭✭Onecoolcookie

Giants absolutely rolling, Cam need to get something going on this drive to give the Panthers some hope

Eli is getting all day in the pocket, really impressed by the pass protection.

Unreal. And the D-Line playing well too so far

Cam needs to start taking a few shots, that Giants secondary is suspect

Great, another injury. Webster with a hand injury.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,299 ✭✭✭spiralism

Stop running the ball ffs, you're down 17. Take a few shots!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,260 ✭✭✭Joekers

Panthers just cannot get past 3rd down

What the hell are the panthers at? They look clueless on offense so far. WR's getting free but they're messing about deciding whether Cam or Williams runs the ball. Think they need to look at the scoreboard and let that decide the plays.

if they called better plays they wouldn't be in this mess, stupid plays like swing screens and zone reads are all fine and good when its level but down 17 they need points asap, the giants secondary is banged up and cam has a great arm. this should be more simple.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,170 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Wow its Will Beatty at right tackle. He was their left tackle for most of last season until he got injured. They sure have strength in depth.

Exactly, need more passes and less runs, making things overly complicated for themselves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,366 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

    Oh hot damn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,216 ✭✭✭Danger_dave1

The panthers are only rushing 4 on obvious pass plays...... thats why Eli is getting oodles of time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,260 ✭✭✭Joekers

Bit more fluid now from the panthers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,366 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren
