    Petric for

    a) Shane Long (reading H, Aston Villa A, QPR H)

    b) Zamora ( Tottenham A, West Ham H, WBA A)

    c) Di Santo ( Fulham H, Sunderland A, Everton H)

    Or

    Should I downgrade Yaya or Cazorla to get better third striker option? Petric will go and I have .6 in bank.

    Jaaskelainen > Foster. need west brom defensive cover and don't want to double up on WH for the rest of the season (have WH cover in McCartney).

    working towards this team for the foreseeable future. kagawa the only guy i'm worried about keeping long term, don't see him scoring high every week! have enough for kagawa > siggy if spurs start firing again or may even downgrade him to a 6/7m midfielder that comes into form

    downgrade yaya(won't keep scoring like he has been) to nolan? or some other 6m and get in fletcher/berba imo

    Zab out Clark in,i now have a budget defence of

    Macauley---Clark===Cuellar---Cluyne ---Demel

    Cuellar injury has hit me but refusing to panic as Zab out was always my move this week aloowing me to have the funds to get in Carzola after next week.
    I know i will be stuck with an injured player for 2 gw but so be it,forwards are more important

    Had to get rid of Rob Green for Begovic so that is my transfer gone.

    Will have to hold onto Cuellar so hopefully his injury isn't too serious.

    Kagawa gets another week as well simply because no midfield replacement stood out this week. I'm not sure if I should go for Yaya or Cazorla but Cazorla has two tough games now and I do think Yaya's run will end.

    Arsenals games start to improve after the next two so Carzola will be nessecary especially for those who have RVP as i think having bth RVP and Kagawa isnt the way to go

    I'd agree and my team is setup so I can get Cazorla in two weeks. That said, he hasn't overly impressed thus far.

    He had one good week last Gameweek. Yesterday Arsenal scored six and all he got was one assist at the end. That's a worry.

    I'm going to keep an eye on the Spurs midfield and how Dempsey fits in. I'm in no rush to bring anyone in tbh because, like I said, I have Michu and Hazard and there's a coin toss between the others at the minute IMO.

    tranfers made

    petric + jenkinson out

    berba and clark in

    fairly content with the decision

    Is there any word on Cuellar's injury? Any transfers this week would most likely depend on how bad his is. I'd probably hold on for a double one next week though. My team is grand without any changes this week.

    Cazorla has been in the top 2/3 players in the FFS index every week. He will light up at some stage. I'm surprised it wasn't yesterday.

    I've gone with Graham to Berba. Berba will get a decent price rise this week.

    Tempted to wildcard but think I'll hold off. Had to get rid of de gea for foster so there goes the free transfer. Need to get rid of ceullar now that he's injured and zabaleta. Also want to bring in cazorla when tough games are over and get rid of graham soon too. Think I'll save the WC and slowly phase them out but will probably need to take a points hit somewhere along the way. Anybody know how bad ceullar's injury is?

    Thanks! You are absolutely right and noble with set piece duties would be great 5th midfielder.

    Nolan to Noble and Petric to berba/fletcher

    It's points on the boards that count and, for me, Cazorla hasn't racked up enough yet.

    bale on his last chance today for me... he's just too costly to have in your team if he's not returning.

    either carzola or dembele to replace him.

    Wildcard :D

    Outs :

    Zabaleta
    Nasri
    Pog
    Allen

    Ins :

    No idea

    I'm going to need to be talked out of taking the 4 point hit and doing Pog and Yaya out for Berbatov and probably Pienaar. I have .8 in the bank at the moment.

    I'd wait and see how Pienaar goes tomorrow night first. Walters is also 6.5 million and seems in decent form.

    Thoughts on Kagawa and Graham out

    Nolan and Podolski in

    or

    Ben Arfa and Fletcher in?

    Considering a four point hit for:
    Yaya -> Fellaini
    Which will give me the money for:
    Pogrebnyak -> Fletcher

    Worth it? If not then Rangel/Gallas -> Ridgewell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

    WHy are people talking about getting rid of Yaya? Would be absolute madness imo.

    AT the moment he is one of only 4 or 5 players who will start for City, with the rest of the team getting rotated around unpredictably. It will be vital to have 2 City players I feel, as they will probably end up winning more matches and scoring more goals than any other.

    Yaya always gets forward when he plays CM such is the engine in him, and is often moved forward by Mancini.

    So far his points are 7, 9, 9, 2.

    He will consistently score points all season imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,397 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

    Wildcard this week. Happy with the core of my team, but too many other players not performing (Neither keeper played this week, disgusted with myself for letting that happen!).

    Already out:
    Green --> Jaas
    Collocini --> Bertrand
    Vertonghen --> McAuley
    Gunter --> Buttner
    Graham --> Berba

    These are all based on price rises, I have yet to decide which of these I'll keep.

    Also want to get rid of:
    DDG
    Ireland
    Noble
    Rangel (mainly to get in a cheaper Swansea defender)

    I actually think that Garcia may have been bought to allow Yaya to push forward more. It says a lot that when City want a goal, they often take off a striker and bring on a defensive mid to allow Yaya to get forward.

    Assou-Ekotto gone for up to four weeks, shipped out before he loses any value. Lets hope Carl Jenkinson is the right replacment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,998 ✭✭✭Shane732

    Jesus my second tier players are all nearing price drops..... :eek::eek:

    I have Zebaleta, whom I now class as a second tier player as he won't get much game time. He'll drop before Saturday.

    Then I have Fabio and Larsson.

    Would anyone consider playing a wildcard to preserve the value of the team or maybe even a dreaded 4 point hit to bring in a West Brom defender for Zab?

    Finger is hovering....

    Pienaar was good tonight, everything Everton did went through him.

    Kagawa out for Carzorla
    or
    Shane Long out for someone?

    What's the best option?
    I want Carzorla but I can't see Long scoring many even though he's got Reading, Villa an Qpr in the next 3 games

    Did you get Berba in before his price increase on Sat or are you looking at making both transfers now?

    Berba might just sneak up again tonight.

    I haven't brought either of them in yet. Both matches they play this weekend are away I think and Fulham usually stink away from home. I'll decide later in the week.

    Arsenal have City and Chelsea so Cazorla is going to have two tough games.

    Have you got Everton cover? They have a nice run of fixtures.

    Terrible choice of replacement imo you misssed his price rises, his next two are against chel and city and then sagna will be back to take his place

    Well I have Jagielka... So not really

    I have 1 million in the bank

    My team is..

    Jaas
    Vermaelen Ivanovic Jagielka
    Kagawa Toure Michu Hazard
    Berbatov Long Tevez

    Subs DDG, Dyer, Jenkinson, Clyne

    Noticed the missed price rises and was questioning how long he might hold his place. Sometimes need a risk though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭El Horseboxo

    Very big risk. I think Arsenal will concede in their next 2 games. I was going to bring him in last week but held off and put enough aside for Sagna. No way Jenkinson keeps possibly the best right back in the league out once he's fully fit.

    Wonder how many will now consider Ba hoping for a replication of last season. He started off slow last season and then once he got back to full fitness after Ramadan he was banging them in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,612 ✭✭✭carlop

    I never normally act so rashly but after a day of weighing up Fletcher or Berbatov, I've decided to go for Ba instead, taking out Zab for Ridgewell to free up the funds.

    WBA have a nice run of fixtures coming up, as do Newcastle.

    Get rid of Vermaelen. He's good and stuff but everything that he can do, Gibbs can do too, minus the expensive pricetag. Gibbs also makes runs down the flanks. That's where he can earn assist (and maybe goal) points [Which is a lot, from a defender's perspective]... Dump Vermaelen and upgrade Kagawa to somebody like Bale.
    Bale has a few tough fixtures in the next 3 or 4 gameweeks but then, he's up against Southampton in GW9.
    Considering Southampton are leaking goals and Bale might actually perform better under pressure (Against MUFC and Chelsea) after the bad start to the season.. he might be a long term choice.
    Or, you could also upgrade Long to somebody of your choice. The point is, Vermaelen is a bit too expensive considering he shares the same clean sheets as Gibbs.

    He could make a similar change. Not necessarily Bale.

    Seriously considering Lescott to Baines. Is he worth the 7.1?

    Scoring quite well and his next 4 fixtures reads:

    Gameweek 5 Swansea (A)
    Gameweek 6 Southampton (H)
    Gameweek 7 Wigan (A)
    Gameweek 8 QPR (A)

    Begovic - Jaaskelainen

    Lescott - Jenkinson - Clyne - McAuley - Demel

    Nolan - Michu - Hazard - Santi Cazorla - Sterling

    Van Persie - Fletcher - Tevez

    I'm thinking about getting Aguero in for Tevez?

    I think Tevez will be the most likely to be rotated for Dzeko/Balotelli when Aguero is fully fit..

    I'm planning the same as soon as he's ready to play 90 or close to it, hoping it could be a great differential - getting him before he takes off again, which I fully expect he will if he stays fit. That and the fact that I just can't stand Tevez, after all that bloody sulking last year

    Cuellar out this weekend with a hamstring injury. I can get by this weekend with 3 defenders with home fixtures. So reckon I'll hold off and have 2 transfers next week.
