Shared a bedroom with my Mam and my sister up to the age of 10. 3 beds in one room and absolutely no room or privacy. Put me off sharing a room for life!

I shared with my sister for a few years in college to save money. It was better in ways than with strangers, as we shared at home so were used to it, but was more awkward than sharing with a stranger when boyfriends came on the scene...

I take it you are a girl otherwise that would be weird.

I'm in the middle of a move to Dublin and, going through listings on Daft.ie, I'm amazed by the number of people who are sharing a room or are looking for someone to share with. Heck, some rooms I came across had two and were looking for a third to move in.

So, people of AH, would you be willing to share a bedroom with someone who was essentially a complete strange?

I know I never could; regardless of what goes on in my life, my bedroom is usually my sanctum, as it were, where I can unwind and relax. Sharing a room, you just couldn't get that.

I have, for about half a year when I first came to Ireland.
It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I had feared, I may have been lucky. That being said, I wouldn't want to do it again. I wouldn't even want to share a house with strangrs again, either. It may be an age thing.

I'd really depends. If they were cool enough, no problem. But I'd obviously end up with the rapist.

Most people wind up sharing a room at some point. Its part of city living. The trick is to be the weird one. That way the normal idiot winds up downstairs sleeping on the couch most nights and you get a big room to grow herbal remedies in. Remember the ultra-violet light and the two bar heater.

Numerous times with different people all friends, all cause we were broke. Don't think there is anyone I shared a room with that I wasn't better friends with after it than before. Some great times had and you really get to know people sharing a bedroom with them. Weird stuff happens but as long as you're the sort of person who can just have a laugh about it after there shouldn't be a problem.

Not a hope. Maybe if you're 10 and at a sleepover maybe but it baffles me why adults would choose to share a room, especially in college.

I did in Jersey, I leaned how to wakn without moving a sheet.
Good skill to have. I always get up early and usually disturb the Missus with my poor wakning technique. I will practice getting out of the bed without moving the sheet, but I reckon I will have to watch a fair bit of Youtube to get the skillset.....hang on, you meant...jasus, ya sneaky wa*ker.

Yeah I was wondering, if youre sharing a room with another guy, whats the set up? Is there a wnaking schedule...some kind of chart, like you can tell him to wake up and leave cause its your wnk-day.

Or maybe its a token system.
1 token for every 1/2 hour and you get to kick the other guy out.

What about farts...is there a system for that too?

And nudity....what if you wake up and see hes got a morning bonk going on....and what if his is bigger...that could ruin your day.

Had to do it all they way through college. Just to cut costs really. Didn't seem too strange at the time and was ok for the most part (although I was the snorer). Over 10 years out of college at this stage and would fancy doing it now, wouldn't even fancy sharing a house or apartment really. Ya get very used to having your own space.

But then when I was a kid I shared a bedroom with 2 brothers at one stage so maybe it just seemed kinda normal to me.

I've seen enough pornos to know that the right thing to do is to join in and take off your pyjamas to reveal you wearing a strap-on for absolutely no apparent reason :pac:

Said the man who once started a thread about his flatmate trying to kill him...?!

A mate of mine once shared a room and he said synchronized **** was the norm. Apparently your own fapping sounds will drown out the other persons so you forget that they are there. He said they left a **** bucket in the corner of the room which they emptied out once a week.

I shared a room with my friend while in college.
Generally it was fine but the nights that I would have stayed in and she would have headed out were the worst. She would come back and be loud and annoying, usually with a few people in tow. I'm quite a laid back person so I used to just let it go. But God forbid if it was the other way around. Hello **** storm.

I last did that when I was 18, and hated it. That was more than half a lifetime ago, since then I've never been that hard-up.

Sharing a room is madness, that said, a lot of the Brazilians who come up here, they all do it. Save's rent. Maybe the send some of the money back home. Or maybe they just spend it drinking, mad bastards.
