Exercises for Prominent Collar Bones

I have a few problems around my left shoulder with a strained muscle (a small one) and something called winged shoulders blades if anyone has heard of it. I finally went to my physio for it and she gave me exercises to do for it and told me not to do weights for a good while to give the strained muscle a chance to recover

My collar bones are already very prominent for whatever reason. Several of my friends have commented on how much they stick out and yet my doctor and physio didn't seem to see any problem with that when I went to see them. However, now that I'm not doing weights I've lost a lot of muscle mass and now my collar bones are even more prominent. As one friend put it, it's like there's two spikes sticking out from the top of my shoulders. It has the effect of making me look very skinny and mal-nurished, which is annoying because the loss in muscle mass seems to have actually made my body look better.

Anyway I don't feel comfortable going back into weights properly yet because I still want to do the physio's exercises but I wanted to know is there any exercises I can do for the top of my shoulders (I maybe it's my upper trapezius, I'm not sure) to add a bit of mass to that area and cover up my collar bones a bit?

    Anyone?

I'm beginning to think the questions I ask are incredibly specific because I always seem to have to bump them

I think the lack of responses is more to do with it being a weekend than anything.

I'm really having trouble picturing the problem to be honest. But I am fairly sure lifting heavy and eating steaks is the solution. Add some meat to that frame.

The last thing you want with a winged scap is increased upper trap work.

Nothing grows in isolation. But you can be damn sure you'll wreck your shoulder more if you try it.

    More muscle overall, more food.

...and if you dont' want to lift weights, then you can't do anything really.
