Big game in the NFC North.
Big game for the projected last placers Vikes & Colts
Big game for Brees & Newton to get out of the traps
Big matchup for Steelers to show some metal and the Jets to show their Wk1 performance wasn't a fluke.
Big matchup for Ravens & Eagles projected playoff deep runners.
Big matchup for Denver and Falcons both turning on the offense weapons.

I'm looking forward to seeing Jamaal Charles get his grove back v the Bills.

Would not be surprised to see an upset at Green Bay.

Just spotted this on Twitter - In his last 3 games against the Bears, Jermichael Finley has racked up 19 catches for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Could do with a performance from him tonight.

They threw out a crazy stat on ESPN 1000 radio there.

The Packers have gone 28 games without having a 100 yard rusher. Next longest is the Chiefs & Panthers at 12 games. Brandon Jackson on Oct. 10, 2010 was their last 100 yard rusher (10 carries for 115 yds) in a 16-13 OT loss to the Skins.

    That is a long time!

To be fair it's highly unlikely that 10 away teams win but sur you never know....

Starks had a 100 yard game in the playoffs when they won it all. Against Eagles I think.

They've turned into the Colts of around 2008. Quite an amazing passing attack but terrible on the ground and cant defend for ****. Totally dependent on Rodgers. Thing is though, the way the league is, they'll probably win another Lombardi in the next few years

Can't wait for tonights game :D

Key for me is the run game. If the Packers run D is as bad as it was against the 49ers then the Bears will cause an upset.

Excessively excited about the bears this evening, have a good feeling. Of all the Home game wins I've called Lions @ 49ers is the one I'm not sure on, have a real feeling Detroit could cause a weird upset. Stafford throwing for a couple of hundred yards both ways.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,643 ✭✭✭Phoenix Park

When the Lions are on song they are great to watch, but i can't see them coming out on top against that niners defence, i can see a few Stafford interceptions in that one..
Just watching some of the Atlanta @ Chiefs game from last week now. I reckon that Falcons offense will cause Denver some serious problems. I'd love to see Manning and Co. keep up the momentum after a really exciting performance on Sunday night but it will be tough to keep that offense quiet!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,244 ✭✭✭Guffy

Keep thinkin bears will cause an upset tonight but with everyone sayin same thing it won't be an upset. Will it get to them? More people talk the bears up more think packers will win :-( bears will def cover the spread though;-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,016 ✭✭✭Hulk Hands

    Bets for later:

    Bears +5.5 (Evs)
    Over 50 (10/11)
    J.Nelson under 79.5 (10/11)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,244 ✭✭✭Guffy

Can couple bears +5.5 and over 51 for 13/5 tool under for 12/5 myself:-o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,698 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Why would the bears winning tonight be an upset ? The bears are a good team and the packers have already lost the same number of games they lost last season after one week. I'll admit it was the 49ers but the 15-1 is LAST SEASON.

Packers have lost 3 in a row....just saying!

    Two I think

Greg Jennings is inactive for tonight's game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Recliner ready, laptop at hand, NFL on the box and tomorrow off work.. Great boost!

Worried enough about tonight. Reckon we'll just about sneak the win but the Bears will cover the spread and it'll be over to points total.

Jennings missing is a big loss but hopefully the likes of Cobb can step up again this week. Could really do with Benson having more than 2yards per carry this game though.

Dion Sanders called Mike Tice, Mike Tyson.

Marshall Falk then started taking the piss out of Mike Tysons voice.

Was hilarious. Even funnier, was Dion saying "Please Mike, this is not me, this is Marshall Faulk" :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,818 ✭✭✭swoody

should i start Benson (GB) tonight? the Bears have been tough against the run and haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 12 straight games.....
i'm starting McGahee (DEN) so my only option is Brinkley (SD)

Martin O'Neill.. Bills fan.. who'd have thunk it?

Sound chap drank with him in a bar in the asshole of nowhere in Wisconsin once. Sent the lads in the studio an email to see if he will read it out and if he remembers me :D

Packers look so unbelieveably sloppy it's not even funny. There was about 3 Bears defenders there that could have gotten to Rodgers there. And then Rodgers miss throws which I've never seen him do.

Pats fan since the early 90's but in the last 6 years I have spent a lot of time in Wisconsin as I have friends there.

Had the same problem with our receivers last year, dropped a lot of passes when wide open.
