    Hi guys,

I recently found my bmw has a little problem when shift, for example, when start slowly, accelerate slowly, decelerate (specially in decelerate), it happens when in a slow move traffic like city center. I call it shift shock.

Anyway, have found two possible solutions to this on other places, and just want to check if anyone has used one of these methods before:
    1. fix through INPA

    2. a '25 second transmission reset' (have not tried, but seems work for most people)
    1. Put key in the ignition
    2. Click on the Start button without having your foot on the accelerator. At this point the lights on the dash will all light up.
    3. Push the accelerator to the floor and hold it for about 30 seconds. For me at about 20 seconds I heard a very faint sound. This is the reset sound. Don't worry if you don't hear it. Just keep your foot on the pedal for about 30 seconds.

Which of above way have you done?or suggest to be done?

Do you have experienced similar shift problem that I am having? What did you do?

    Thank you guys :D

I done similar to the second method when i had my clk, drove it around for a bit and it re learns the shifting points.

However it didn't solve my issue. You could benefit from a transmission fluid and filter change. What sort of millage are you at?

    Thank you cisk.

My one is nearly 20k km. So what your experience is this kind of rough shift will come back again anyway. Changing fluid and filter will help but also won't resolve the problem?
