I just started using opencart. If free and open source so if you're into web development or design you can change it around.

I use a Export/Import extension that allows me to use XLS files for the catalog.

Prestashop might be a good option also Joomla/Virtuemart with CSV improved plugin works beautifully for huge database imports.

Magento is open source, You could also consider Magento Go

I'm also on the lookout for an ecommerce setup and was considering the premium product from register365

Anyone use these products before? Is there anything else I should be considering that isn't mentioned?

I was originally considering the Joomla root but this seems to have most of the work done. I have hosting with my current work with them and have found their support good when needed. I'm a bit of a noob with the ecommerce side.
