Exercises to get smaller boobs?!

    Hi everyone,

Over the last few months I've lost quite a bit of weight by changing my diet and completing the couch to 5k program. I run 5k 3 times a week at the moment and will start doing a 5k to 10k program in a few weeks time. I also do a bit of yoga, cycling and will be starting a "tone and burn" class next week. I'm delighted with my progress and I am pretty close to my target weight now. My only issue is my boobs.

Prior to my weight loss I had a 36C chest now that I have shed a few pounds I have dropped two dress sizes and although I am shorter "across the back" I am struggling to lose weight from my actual boobs. I'm now a 32DD!

Needless to say my boobs were in proportion to my body size earlier in the year, but as the pounds have dropped I'm starting to look ridiculously top heavy!

Does anybody know any particular exercises that might help or is there anything else I could ad to my routine (like pilates or something?) that will help shift the weight from my chest?

First off, You're doing really well.

    People are different.

Some girls will lose weight from their beasts first & will take ages for them to get any bigger.

You can't spot reduce fat unfortunately.
You're just going to have to keep doing what you're going, tighten up on the diet & eventually, you'll drop some weight fr that area.

I know it's not the answer you wanted to hear but it's just the way it is.

As mentioned you cannot just lose weight from one area. But if you are losing weight overall, the boobs will get smaller too, though I suppose just how small is down to your body and how it reacts. The only thing I will say is that if you look at really fit women who train very hard, particularly in cardio based sport, none of them have big chests!

And I couldnt resist quoting this. If its a typo, its a great one.

Stick up a few before and after pictures.

    That will help

It's different for every woman I think. My mum lost a couple of stone a few years back and her B cups all but disappeared. I've lost 3 stone over the last 2 years and gone from a 40E to a 34G. Back size went down like you say but the cup size had to go up because the volume of my boobs didn't reduce much. It's pretty annoying though so I feel your pain.

If your on any kind of birth control pills this could be a factor, these pills contain hormones that accentuate overall breast size.

Thanks, Boogle! Its a real pain in the ass. Worked so hard to lose weight and I still have to wear larger tops to accomodate my cleavage which isnt very flattering :( Congrats on your weight loss though, 2 stone is a great achievement!

Hmm, good point. I am on the pill but coming off it isn't an option! Guess I'll just have to keep running and cycling and hopefully I'll start seeing results soon :o
