Ok, not to be thick (and tks for the pic btw) and maybe this is not the place for it but can you have a mattress, then a mattress protector on top and still make use of fitted sheets? It seems like a awful lot of depth with one on top of the the other?

    yes you can

I have a 10 inch thick kingsize mattress and the mattress protector fits over it just nicely.

So you should have no probem with adding a mattress topper to that memory foam mattress.:)

It prevents general dirt, sweat and any fluids or spills from getting into the mattress.

YUCK!!! I'm now afraid to open the image for fear of what it is!!!!

Have you ever spilled a cuppa tea or a cold drink while siting up in bed in the morning time?

Or the kids jumping up and down on their beds or your bed and they spill some of their fruit juice?

You ever sweat in bed at all???

Your body can expell around 1 litre of sweat/fluid a night when you are sleeping.

All the above are why a mattress protector is a good idea.;)

My husband and kids have done all of the above and I find mattress protectors on all the beds a MUST. Our new memory foam mattress is still in the box but can't wait to use it :D

...... Bought a Silent Night spring mattress on sale in Arnotts and it's a dream to sleep on.
What kind of prices are the silent night brand? Is yours a double or king?

its kinda hard to see it in the picture. but I am wondering because this is in a box.. is that basicly just a matress topper?
hardly yea just open this and put it on a bed base? I got the pillows last time they were on in HS&M and i can feel the pillows are not reutrning to their great shape anymore(and that just from the head lying on it) I would imagine the whole body weighing in more

I'd been on the lookout for a good memory foam mattress for a while.
Homestore & More had a good priced one today and it was seriously comfortable testing out the display model. (Fonthill Road)

    Single : €125
    Double : €175
    King : €200

    Shop Link

I've seen those useless 3" mattress toppers for nearly that price.

It comes vacuum packed in a box with built-in wheels so it can fit in the back seat of a car.

I know some people say that pure memory foam mattresses can be a little too warm in the summer, just in case that's a factor for anyone.

Not sure it's the great deal they're making it out to be. Those memory foam mattresses are only 17cm thick.

You can get 20cm Hypnia memory foam mattresses on amazon with free delivery (unlike Homestore)..

    Single €150

Large Double with free pillows €187

King size with free pillows €220

Go put the kingsize in your basket and proceed, you dont have free deliver option ...

That sounds like an extremely cheap memory foam mattress to me, can something of this price really be of sufficient quality?

I bought a memory foam mattress but my husband finds it WAY too hot and wakes up in a sweat each morning. Have heard other people complain of the same problem. Anyone got any suggestions? :(
