I would too, I hope they have learnt something from Tipperary's mistakes. I love Sean Ban, what a legend :D

I used to have the biggest crush on Joe Connolly, I remember him visiting our primary school after that famous All Ireland Win !!!!

Joe's speech has to be one of the best All Ireland acceptance speeches ever :pac::pac::pac:

I think Donegal will win but I'll be supporting Mayo, it has been 61 years since they won an All Ireland.

Noel Skehan with a boss the size of an elephant. No wonder they won all those All Irelands.

    All together now!!!

    The West's Awake

    Thomas Osbourne Davis

When all beside a vigil keep,
    The West's asleep, the West's asleep -
Alas! and well may Erin weep
When Connacht lies in slumber deep.
There lake and plain smile fair and free,
    'Mid rocks their guardian chivalry.
Sing, Oh ! let man learn liberty
From crashing wind and lashing sea.

That chainless wave and lovely land
    Freedom and nationhood demand;
Be sure the great God never planned
For slumb'ring slaves a home so grand.
And long a brave and haughty race
    Honoured and sentinelled the place.
Sing, Oh! not even their sons' disgrace
Can quite destroy their glory's trace.

    For often, in O'Connor's van,
To triumph dashed each Connacht clan.
And fleet as deer the Normans ran
    Thro' Corrsliabh Pass and Ardrahan;
And later times saw deeds as brave,
    And glory guards Clanricard's grave,
Sing, Oh! they died their land to save
At Aughrim's slopes and Shannon's wave.

And if, when all a vigil keep,
The West's asleep! the West's asleep!
Alas! and well may Erin weep
That Connacht lies in slumber deep.
But, hark! a voice like thunder spake,
The West's awake! the West's awake!
Sing, Oh! hurrah! let England quake,
We'll watch till death for Erin's sake

I know the person who won the tickets, met him at a funeral earlier this year. I also have some relations in the audience.

I like Michael Duignan alot, I think he is a great addition to the RTE commentary team. I read his auto-biography last Christmas, it is a really good read, he was brutally honest.

So much for being neutral though..... A maroon dress? ;)
I think Des dyed his hair black to show his support for Kilkenny, just to keep some balance.....

Seriously though, I have a new found appreciation for Grainne. I don't know what it is that I never saw before. Maybe it's the dress? Maybe it's the fact that that she is sitting beside Des Cahill. I don't know and I don't care.
