Soya Milk

    Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me with something. I just want to know which of these two types of soya milk is better for me nutritionally. I know people have differing opinions on soya milk but I don't like dairy milk at all so it is all I use (I've tried making my own oat milk and it turned out to be horrible). I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me which of the two is preferable.

    Thanks :)

    From the Alpro site:

    Alpro Wholebean

Nothing but the pure taste of soya, with no added sugar and certainly no artificial sweeteners, this is the one to use in savoury sauces, soufflés and for perfect pancakes – or simply for those of us who are sweet enough already! Powered with whole soya beans, low in saturated fat, Alpro Wholebean gives you yet another deliciously healthy dairy free option to choose.

That depends on what you're trying to do. Want to build muscle? Go for the extra protein in the Wholebean. Want to lose weight? Go for the fewer calories in the Light.

Yeah, you haven't even posted what you are aiming for. If it were me, and I have a medium body built with little exercise a week, I would go for the latter since I still need my nutrition even though I need to balance my diet

Go wit whichever one you prefer the taste of.Ii don't think there's that much difference nutritionally that it will make a big difference to your diet - at least not unless you're drinking gallons of it everyday! I like the vanilla flavoured soymilks for smoothies and shakes but I use the unsweetened one for tea and savoury sauces and baking. Also try rice and almond milks for variety - much better for your health than cow juice!;)

Alpro Almond milk. Just tasted it and it's gorgeous. Can't drink milk, so no cereal etc...until now! Oh the possibilities:D

Oh sorry! I am in the process of losing weight and I have been using the Light one. I know, though, that some 'low fat' options aren't the healthiest which is why I was asking. If, nutritionally, there's not much difference between the two then I'll stick with the Light one.

    Thanks for the replies!
