How's it going? I'm just returning from injury and I'm looking for recommendations for a S&C Coach / Personal Trainer who can help me get back fitter and stronger than I was before the injury.

Missed the whole of pre season (Soccer) and need to make up lost ground.

Anybody any personal experience with anybody they would recommend? Somebody who has a experience with dealing with people who play sports?

The guy behind this place is great. Martin is his name, big into sports and plays football himself so he would be ideal.

Lots of great options aroud - where are you based? Be easier to make recommendations based off that.

Based in Dublin. Live on the southside but work on the northside. Any where in or around Dublin would be fine.

The guy I linked to is on the southside too. The only other person I know of (I'm sure there are loads I don't) is Dominic Munnelly. I hope you find someone great anyway!

yeah i'd second Dominic and his brother Niall is running one of the fastest growing S&C gyms in Ireland, its located in Naas, after 7 months they have had to stop taking members, literally queues of people waiting to join. Might still be taking people for one to one training.

Theres 1 fella who posts on here once in a while who runs a place called Fitness Revolution (in Fairview I think??) or something like that, I think his name is Hadley or headley, he's suppose to be a decent coach ;)

Dave McConkey in SouthDublinSC in Harolds cross is also a really good S&C coach!

    I'll second both of them.

Dave used to be a semi-pro footballer too so that may suit you.

I was in the same position last year (except I play Rugby) Can defo back up the recommendation of Dave McConkey in SDSC. He got me back in working order and works with alot of different sports people. Best of luck with your search

Regardless of the suspiciousness of that post - anyone with even a passing knowledge of S&C in Dublin will vouch for Dave. Seriously legit dude.

Jeez, you asked did anyone with sports background have experience of going to a trainer I said I did and trained there and saw results, then you complain cause I'm new. Fair play, very welcoming. By the way I'm a member since 2010 as I have an adverts.ie account. Its a good place to sell stuff (I'm not affiliated there either but as I'm new here you,ll probably be suspicious and go to gumtree to sell stuff). Best of luck with it all though. I'll keep my mouth shut in future!!!

I never questioned his recommendation. I was only poking fun that it was his first post in 2 years, seemed a bit fishy.

Relax! I was poking fun at the fact that it was your first post since registering over two years ago and on your first post you where recommending somebody. I also never complained, in fact if you look back at my post I thanked you.

So just in case, thanks again. :)

I've been contacted with a good few recommendations. Picking one is now the problem.
