    Folks,
For many of us running Enigma2/Linux boxes this is a holy grail plug-in!
And thanks to Lraizer's(of team Commando)
work it is finally here! :)

    This plug-in will auto create/update 28.2e bouquets! :D
Allowing those of us who get frustrated by fiddling around with DreamBoxEdit and similar software and FTP to keep abreast of channel updates (on 28.2 at least) an easy option to keep up to date.

What I particularly like about this plugin is that when you initially run it, it will create a group of Bouquets alá Sky's categories but the really clever thing is that it prepends these bouquets to your existing channel lists.

All while keeping Sky channel numbering AND introducing the new skip empty services feature!
e.g pressing channel + while on 140(4seven) will jump to 143(BBC HD) skipping the empty placeholders!

I've had no input in this plug-in other than being a satisfied user and it is hosted on many sites, most of us on here are probably members of 1 or 2 of them.
I'll link to those sites rather than upload a file here here as due to the plug-in Author being away currently I haven't gotten his permission to upload it.
Just check through the posted links for the latest Version and indeed if you are using the latest VIX image it is already in the feeds :)

I fired off a P.M to 1 of the folks who released this plug-in to ask if I could post it here for those Boards.ie members not on those other sites and i got an affirmative :)
This file is supposedly compatible with all E2 boxes, enjoy it folks.
Just remember to back up your settings before you try it(Just in case!)

Try the Lraizer's(Commando Team) home page/Forum its www.ukcvs.org
As Commando is a Nuetrino/E1 based image I'd say its highly probable that there's an Enigma1 version but as I don't use E1 I haven't looked for it.

Hi guys, sorry for not being so active recently here on boards. It is a superb plugin and one that has been touted for many years. Particularly handy for people not so savvy at bouquet editing and service searching. Also some great work done on it in next stable version of vix and im sure banie mate and many others will be impressed with it as you will be able to set it up and forget its even there whild it keeps your box up to date :-)

I've just tried the newest VIX feeds version(Switched back to 3.0 temporarily to give it a whirl, but back on 2.4 now due PVMC compatabilty issues that the PVMC team are working on)
And I must say I am really impressed with this plugin! the scheduled updates option is bloody fantastic....
Thats 28.2 taken care of ;)

Nice work by Lraizer ,I've previously used his epg on the Commando images for the Dm500,top quality .

Is it possible to arrange the channels and bouquets to ones preference and have them update or are the channels/bouquets fixed ?

That plugin sounds like a great job.

However, I'm not fully sure how it'd get along with my Catseye bouquets?

I use a multisat Bouquet myself that is the product of many hours of fiddling and tweaking across my Bouquets and DBE ;)
This plugin leaves all current bouquets intact.
It runs a stream scan and adds the 28.2 Bouquet to the start of your current bouquet list, living all other sat's(even your current 28.2 bouquet) intact.

I have a 7 LNB setup that is living very happily with this plugin's results.
Only gripe I currently have with it, is that when I run the plugin, I select HD bouquets to run yet for some reason BBC1, ITV1, C4 and C5 are all the SD version and need to be swapped(easy to do) But the rest of the HD swap works flawlessly.

Another nifty trick this plug in has, is that when you 1st run it.
It creates the Bouquets and categories e.g Lifestyle, Documentaries, Movies, Specialist and so on same as the sky channel categories, but lets say you delete all the categories bar the main 28.2e and BBCi. Sky Interactive bouquets....
Well next time you run the plugin, it just updates those and doesn't recreate the deleted bouquets again! Nifty! haha

As I've said though, I use this plugin with a multi-sat setup and I've had no issue with it.
The only channel numbering that matters to me is the Sky Numbering as i access my other sat's by Bouquet and custom lists.
To this end the plugin not only creates a Sky matching bouquets and includes the 'skip' markers it can be run anytime there's a TP change to at least allow you to keep 28.2e up to date nice and simply.

    @banie, thanks.

Doing a service scan atm, will see how it goes. It has great potential anyway.

Well, that is somewhat of a disaster now!

Most channel placeholders are now <n/a> but better than that, it did the same to my existing Catseye bouquest. Damnit!

    Sorry to hear that Byte...
I am surprised at the outcome as I had no issues when I've run it and it never altered any of my existing Bouquets.
As for the <n/a> placeholders, mine have always been that way even when I used B16mcc's frontend. Are the placejolders active? or are they skipping?
e.g pushing channel + on the remote when on 116(BBC4) takes you direct to 118(ITV2)? Or is it going to 117?

They're greyed out but active, I can highlight them. If I try to watch one I just get "Service Unavailable, Check Tuner Configuration" with Channel ID just "DVB service" (amusingly, the Picon works).

Were you on 28.2e channel when you ran the plugin Byte?
I'm at a loss as to whats gone wrong there :/

Aye, I was already on 28E beforehand.

Anyway, I just rescanned 28E again, and that seems to have fixed it.

Bizarrely, ti also lists number places for where there are no channels, however it jumps them.

    Thanks.

Glad its sorted, It lists the numbers on the placeholder to keep the Sky numbering scheme but I particularly like the way it skips the placeholders any previous bouquet I used for Sky the placeholders stayed active.

The days of using cateyes are over.

Download the ipk on first post of this thread linked below. FTP it to tmp folder on 800hd using "dreambox control centre" software. The on dreambox go to sofrware management/install local extension and install the ipk. When installed go to service searching and you will find the autobouquets software, configure to whatever region you want and set to auto update on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

This software will auto retune your 800hd from then on. No more downloading lists, editing etc.

ok so i have downloaded that file and uploaded it to the tmp directory on the DB. When i go into software management and then into install local extension, then it asks select medium to be scanned and the only option is local flash, then it says no displayable files on this medium found.

    Am i going wrong somewhere?

What image are u using ?
If u have tspanel installed, press menu, tspanel , go to file manager, then go to tmp folder and click on the autoboquet and install package.
Restart enigma and the plugin should be in the plugin menu.

There is a version that does other satellites.PM author of bouquet to get it. If using VIX, they have their own version in service searching menu that does many satellites.

SgtFllipFlop's work is being carried on by someone, so if you're used to using his Bouquets you can get the updates to the Bouquets and Picons http://www.sgtflipflop.ukfsn.org/

I have a dreambox 500s with pli image installed.
Will these bouquets work on my 500 with this image.

If i was to download these bouquets how do i put them on the box using filezilla, as i use filezilla to add clines to my box.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 23,934 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Get the Enigma 1 bouquets and use dreambox edit to upload them, a whole lot easier than uploading with filezilla or deleting HD channels or stuff like that.

    Thanks,

Are the bouquets labeled enigma 1 in the downloads section on the site,
It does'nt say if they are bouquets.

Yup, on the right hand side it's the second link down. When you're uploading the bouquets using DreamBoxEdit make sure to click reload setting on dreambox, it'll save you rebooting the box.
