    About 7k according to Strava.

One of my clubmates (who has a full time job) is at 11k on Strava.

There is a (presumably) unemployed boardsie at over 20k.

5899.6km since I bought my bike in March, not including commuting.

My one is 26km each way (since I gave up the most direct route, which was 22km), but I do not take the same route every time.

Or just seriously sleep deprived

4,845.4km according to Strava. Didn't track every single commute and pootle so probably a wee bit over 5000km.

Did a lot less Sportive and long solo riding this year in favour of going up and down hills, club spins and dipping toe into racing. I wish I could say I replaced distance with speed but that would be a lie

    10,420km

I was aiming for 10k before my birthday (September). Now aiming for 15k before the end of the year.

Haven't ridden much in the last two weeks because of hols, kids back-to-school and the rugby season re-starting........

........in other words, I'm to blame for the good weather!!

6,153 km according to my Endomondo. Due to the baby at home I've done no extra-curricular spins this year (well, maybe up to 100km worth) so this is all commuting.

I'm on 1,268km since I got back on my bike in June (I'd been off it for almost a year :o). However, that's mainly commuting - haven't been making the most of the summer weather... :(

Just under 3000 on strava since march, did roughly 1000k in jan and Feb-haven't logged all commutes and a few other bits so id say a little over 4000k so far

8,200kms to date. Plan was to beat 10k this year so well on target.

Same here unfortunately, but cycling for me is not just about speed.
    It is about cycling.

6619 KM with 7 weeks off the bike, including a 6 month commute. On track for topping 10000 this year.

Am pretty chuffed as its my third year cycling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,992 ✭✭✭Plastik

A shade under 6,600. Hoping to hit 10k for year end.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,831 ✭✭✭ROK ON

7200km including distance imputed from turbo training workouts.
Equates to about 300 hours. Doesn't include commutes, but I guess that adds only about 200km or so.

    7500 ish. No commuting

Big push to to get to 13,000 before the end of the year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 127 ✭✭mp2012

5,020 with no commute. Goal was 7,500k this year so should make that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 206 ✭✭loinnsigh

Yikes - I thought I was going great with 2,000km since getting my first road bike in March. Need to get out more...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 223 ✭✭Biopace

Roughly 6000km, about 65% off road.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 895 ✭✭✭Dubba

7,300km for me, on track for a pb of over 10,000km by the end of the year, all going well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,419 ✭✭✭NeedMoreGears

7,359 as of this morning. 5,280 commute, 50 odd in the gym. A few km ahead of schedule for 10,000 this year. Last twelve months was 9,177 so need to up the game a bit between Sep-Dec as compared to 2011. Hopefully the weather/motivation will co-operate

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,138 ✭✭✭buffalo

Apparently ~5,000km on the road bike with GPS in use.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 503 ✭✭✭davidsatelle100

not too many long spins need to get out more is right.

A very lowly 1024km since getting the bike in the middle of June and it's probably not go up much now over the winter as we have a new baby in the house (arrived on Monday) and a very very very busy wee 2yr old.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,041 ✭✭✭✭Wishbone Ash

    8,988km year to date.

    I try to average 1,000km a month so I'm a little bit ahead. :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭ozzy jr

9,400km in 14 months. First few months wasn't really into it. Now I aim for about 3-400km a week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39 Bechermann

4700km year to date, (took to the bike this time last year, it's been a great first year). I hope to put a big burst in over the next few months and make it to 7500, and reward myself with new wheels :)

9169km in total this year, best year since starting cycling 3 years ago.

So I reckon that between those who have reported in so far we've managed to do the equivalent of circumnavigating the world 5 times so far this year. Just need blorg's number now ...

Just under 800km since 6th Aug when I got my first "real" bike, that's not including commuting. Aiming for much more next year :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 185 ✭✭slowcyclist

4,625.69km year to date, compared to 3,413km for all of last year and 1,974km for 2010. I thought I was doing well.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,100 ✭✭✭clog

8001km year to date was turning in for home today and realised it would leave me just under 8000km so i went on a bit just to make sure.

About 3500km in my first year, been out of the country since then so this year is fecked. Minimum 5k next year!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 85 ✭✭Pedalare Pedalare!

I've filled in a stilted 150km over my first month of cycling. Lots of fun and I feel ready to boost the distances now that I have some time off work.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭alexanderomahon

Mapmyride says 5158 km this year. Happy with that as only started cycling last summer and had my 50th birthday this year. Feeling smug, self satisfied and fitter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,098 ✭✭✭NamelessPhil

3,800km to date some of that while towing a trailer with a 3 year-old in it. I don't have onboard radio but she does sing a very good version of "These are a few of my favourite things".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 140 ✭✭brasshead

4489km. I need to get out more :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,684 ✭✭✭triggermortis

Just passed 3000 myself. A new baby in April slowed me down a bit earlier in the year. Hoping to upgrade the bike next year and up the distance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 141 ✭✭ian_rush

2,553km so far which is more than the whole of 2011 for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 607 ✭✭✭seve65

    Stava says 11.6. Mostly 'commutes'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭nilhg

Just realized that I passed 5000km for this year somewhere on the Healy Pass last weekend, 5100km would have come on the spin back in to Glengarriff after going over for the second time.

Not a bad place to pass a significant (for me anyway) milestone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,505 ✭✭✭macnab

    627.6km in 2010, 4260.2km in 2011 and 3754.7km so far this year.
I had planned to do much more this year but it didnt happen. I work shift and my commute is 45km each way so I find it hard to motivate myself sometimes, especially when time off between shifts is short (some times 8 hours not counting commuting time)
I commuted twice this week so I have 180km done, but I didnt do any training or social rides as I felt a little fatigued. I probably need to back off a little on the intensity when commuting to leave more in the legs for pleasure cycles etc.
