Hi,

I'll start by explain whats happening. There is a email address that send out about 30 spam casino emails to my email address everyday. I've added there email address to my cpanal's block list but they just change there email address once a week ( maybe once every 2 weeks ) and they just send to there mailing list again.

Each email has a fake link down the bottom that says "Unsubscribe" but it doesn't lead anywhere.. it's linked like a hyper link but leads

I've replied to them many times asking to be removed be it never happens.

I've added many of there emails to the block list and it does stop them for a week until they change there email address. ( It's normally the whole domain will change and not just the 1st part of the email address )

The current site sending the spam is support@winnerspromos.com

Just got another one from them. At the end it reads

" Stop receiving emails instantly - Simply ask us . We respect all requests in real time "

the simplt ask us is fake linked. I checked the html of the email and it had <a> Simply ask us </a>

Any suggestions ?

Use something a bit more intelligent than just domain blacklisting.
Spamhaus provides IP blacklists that are comprehensive... sometimes too comprehensive
Some form of heuristic spam blocker, based on bayesian analysis of the email content is worthwhile too.

I am assuming you are using some form of hosted email? Would you consider migrating to google apps? It's very inexpensive, and has all the features of gmail, including their excellent spam filtering, but in your domain. That said, google is not for everyone, due to concerns regarding privacy.

Basically, there's nothing you can do to stop it being sent, but you can do quite a bit to prevent yourself receiving it.

Never reply to or click on a link in an email you think is spam. At best, you're confirming that your inbox is active, which is valuable information to a spammer. At worst, it could be malicious.

Does your email server and/or client not have filter rules? i.e. If an email contains the word casino, divert it to a spam folder?

Yes it's web based - it's my personal domain name / email I use cpanel as a admin panel and webmail for mail.

I use squirrel mail and it's not the best as setting rules etc.

Well, it has subject-line filtering anyway, if the spammers use consistent subjects for their emails.

If you login to your mail and click "Folders" at the top, you should get this screen. Put in the name "CasinoSpam" and hit create. Then click "Options" at the top, then "Message Filters". Select "New", change the "Match" to "Subject", then put (for example) "casino" in the text field, and change the "Move To" to "CasinoSpam", then submit.

There's also a "Spam Filters" section in the Squirrel Mail options, which use (among others), the SpamHaus blacklist mentioned above. You might need some more technical know-how to set those up though
