i was reading today that some people with rosacea have been noticing improvements in the condition by taking garlic every day

so I went out, bought some garlic and a garlic press and had some. wasn't too bad taste wise with a large mouthful of water but i'd rather not have to press it every morning/evening as it was a pain in the ass

are there any garlic supplements or tablets that people here have tried and could reccomend?

    will do

I used it for one day and didnt notice anything (obviously :) ) but it was such a massive pain in the ass peeling the garlic I haven't done it again

i saw a youtube clip of an easy way to peel them so I'll start on monday and see what it does

on the topic of rosacea.. I've found nivea sensitive face wash pretty good as a .. face wash and I got some rosaliac ar intense in the chemist that has had a good effect on the redness in a very short time. It's still noticeable that I have rosacea, but nowhere near as bright or as all encompasing as it was (or at least, felt)

Perhaps supplements would be a more practical (and less, er, flavourful) solution? There are heaps of different kinds by the look of it - my folks take the Kwai brand (though not for rosacea specifically, just for the general health benefits).

That said, would you not get the same health benefits from consuming the raw garlic in food, ie. making a batch of hummus and eating that? Might make it feel less of a hassle (and hummus is delicious too).

from what I say online the garlic has to be crushed and exposed to air for 10-15 minutes to allow some chemical to form.. acillin or something

i did see acillin pills on amazon.. but i dunno about dosage or even if it's just the acillin in the garlic that helps

or I should say was reported to help at least one person on a random rosacea website :)
