Spider Invasion

My house has been invaded by spiders, I hoovered everywhere yesterday; every corner, wall, ceiling, and today they are back.
Think half the spider population have decided to move into my house. Anyone know how to get rid of them, and keep them away?

I have one trapped under a glass in my sink as we speak. Tried to drown him but he crawled back up the drain. The swine!

Citrus at your windows and doors. Spray the stuff about. I heard that somewhere although maybe it just attracts more. Hundreds even. I'm not sure at all.

I was putting them out the window, but think the feckers were just climbing back in and bringing friends and family with them. They have been hoovered and flushed and still there are more.

Yeah, I'm sure that would work, but I would like to still have some place to live when they are gone!

You got any oranges or lemons Op?
You can squeeze the juice, mix it with some water and spray it around the windows and doors. They hate citrus! Eucalyptus too.

Funny you mention that. I've killed 4 large spiders today alone, normally I only kill about 4 big ones a year.

It's been going on for weeks, sick of them. Usually they don't bother me, but there are so many of the feckers. Woke up in the wee hours of the morning and found I was sharing my pillow with a HUGE spider, not the greatest thing to open your eyes to!

It looks like it's too late OP, the spiders have taken control of your house. The high king spider is probably living in your microwave already, get out if there while you can, before it's too late. I hope you have seen arachnophobia.

There is what looks like a tarantula living under the rim of my wheelie bin, he's been there for weeks.
