    Knee jerk reaction time -

Bale is 56% to dropping in price.

Who would you replace him with? The obvious options for me are Cazorla or Kagawa.

    I'm replacing Bale with Hazard.

    Petric > Fletcher. easy decision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 805 ✭✭✭xerces

If I have two free transfers this week and I use one, will I have two free again the next gameweek?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    Bale out, Cazorla in.

Does that '>' indicate that you think Petric is better, or does it mean to transfer Petric out for Fletcher?

Bale to Kagawa for me i think. I could do with the extra .9 for cover. Might upgrade Graham to Berbatov as i already have Michu cover. But i'll wait for that one.

    Yaya might be an option.

petric out fletcher in :) it's either fletcher or berbatov. can see fletcher out scoring berba easy with fulham looking like a shocking side away from home again this year

i've just done Bale to Hazard. Can't really afford further price swings.

My second transfer is probably going to be either:
    1. Torres to Van Persie
    2. McClean to Kagawa
    Any thoughts?

Definitely a West Brom player. Probably get McAuley or Ridgewell in for Zabaleta. They're a team that are looking good but more importantly, they're looking consistent.

I used last years WC in the last like two weeks so I'm not an expert on the tactics of it all. Is now the time where most people use it?

Since it will be 13/14 days till the next GW should I get in a load of players who are rising to try and make profit and then make my final team the night before?

Yep that's the idea. Just watch the http://development.totalfpl.com/pricechanges page and get in the risers. You need to hope the player goes up by at least .2 though.

My team isn't in that bad condition, but considering using it anyway for the above reason. And a few changes would be nice too.

Bit of a snap decision but I just replaced Bale with Hazard. Really wanted to avoid the Hazard bandwagon as I'm not convinced with him, but have to get rid of Bale as his price will probably fall by 0.2 0r 0.3 by GW4 and I can't afford that. With Hazard set to rise tonigh, I may aswell take him for a few weeks and see how it goes. Plan on replacing him long term with Cazorla.

Thinking about doing this with my wild card. Posted it in the wild card thread too. I'm also thinking of Berbatov for Kone, and leaving Cashley in instead of Ivanovic.

What else does he need to do to convince you he's a class player and FF gold?

Only 3 games played yet. He's a quality player, but Chelsea still have a lot of quality players competing with him for points/gametime (Oscar is going to get more and more gametime too imo).

He won't be on penalties (which he can thank one of goals for) and he's not guaranteed to get as many assists going forward. Chelsea still have yet to convince me. As I've said he's done well thus far but it's far from guaranteed that he will maintain that form throughout the season.

Didn't see any of the games today and I actually don't even know any of the scores bar the City one and that was only because I was in Manchester. Just did Bale to Hazard. A 1 point display after two 2's is enough for me. I'm out.

Lads, Gallas at 5.0 million. Clearly not the best start for Spurs, but with Reading away and QPR at home, surely not a bad option.

Cant see anyone 5.0 or less with better short term fixtures.

Was thinking Gallas and Hazard in for Cazorla and Zabaleta? Opinions?

Good shout alright. Although have you thought about a Brom defender like Ridgewell? I have Steven Taylor at 5 mil too. He's a goal threat and I'm hoping he'll come good tomorrow.

Anyone without Hazard is going to be once less player I have to worry about challenging be at the end of season. As close to essential as you can get. He has the ability to put 80% of the league to the sword. Exactly what you'd want in your captain. I expect him to play pretty much every league game for Chelsea.

Part of the reason I brought him in was for fear of falling behind the masses. Still wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Kagawa (who I rate higher than Hazard, albeit I have seen a lot more of him over the past few seasons) finish with a higher points total come the end of the season.

RE transferring in Gallas (hate to disagree with you again!) but spurs defense is a no-go for me, regardless of fixtures. They've had 2 easy fixtures, and having watched both of them their defense isn't great, they were lucky to concede just the one goal in both games, Friedel with a couple of good saves today. Theyw ere all over the shop in the last few minutes against West Brom.

Ive actually spent the last 2 hours on this and a few other things, mainly to determine if I can leave the WC till at least gw7 lol.

The pressing concern is to get a strong defense for GW4. Currently that's DDG, Ivanovic, Jenkinson and XXXXXXXX. WBA have Fulham away which is tough. They have Sunderland GW5 who are also very threatening.

I like Steven Taylor actually, but again Everton away gw 4 is a tough one.

Yeah I agree that Kagawa will do very well as will Hazard, but it's certainly not a case of one or the other, when most teams can fit both in with ease.

I have both and still have room for Tevez and RVP up front.

Tbh I think GW4 is gonna be a tough one for a lot of people. Most of the main bunch of players picked don't have easy fixtures. I've only 4 players with home games, one of whom, kacaniklic, will be on the bench.

I didn't mean as pick one or the other, just I don't think Hazard will provide the points haul that some people expect of him.

Using wildcard so will be taken advantage of price increases for next two weeks.

Looks like Neil taylor out for a good chunk of the season with broken ankle, Ben davies at 4m a cheap way into swanseas defence? although chico suspended for next game so tate be there aswell and might not be as strong as usual.

I really like to keep Bale but he's going to drop 0.2m I'd say by the time we get to the next GW.

Cazorla is the obvious option for me but they have tough fixtures coming up.

Would any of you consider dropping Bale for someone like Morrison?

What other mids do you have? Nolan looks good to me. 2 goals already and unlucky not to score last week.

Today is the final decider for me regarding which Utd attacking player to bring in. Leaning towards Kagawa at the moment (so I can drop N'Zogbia) but have the money to drop Graham for Van Persie as well.

Keeping Torres for now! Never thought I'd say that!

    Larsson, Pienaar, Noble, Bale, Hazard

    Tevez, RVP and Graham

Right to I reckon Cazorla is the obvious option now.

Definitely long term, might wait until after the city and chelseas games to bring him though. Having said that, that mindset didn't work too well today.

I'd wait until around gameweek 7 to be honest.

He did extremely well today and have Southampton next, but also have a few very tough fixtures after that. Like has been mentioned though that didn't seem to matter today. It's a tricky one.

I was going to get him in but went for Yaya instead. The extra £0.9m will come in handy.

I have 3 players who are close enough to a price drop.....

Noble/Gorkss and Larsson (well he's not that close but it looks like he might drop over the break).

Would you consider playing a WC to protect against the price drops? I'd like to hold on to it for another while if possible.

I've a team value of 101.8 at the moment.

Bale out, who to bring in???

Was thinking either cazorla or Johnson from Sunderland.

Budget would dictate the move,i got Yaya in so i could upgrade Petric to Flecther while giving me a little more room for manovure if Fletcher fails to fire for some reason.
Carzola would be the choice for me given no budget requirements..

Just sold Cazorla there. Played the wildcard in order to get in van Persie and Hazard. I still have Kagawa but I'll make 0.1 million when his price goes up again, after which I'll sell him and get Cazorla back in.

Cazorla will go up in price before Kagawa will.

Kagawa will be shipped out by lots during the international break. I'd say there's a great chance of Kagawa going down than up after today.

United looked much better once they got him off and changed formation. Scholes should get extra points for being him.

He's at 95% at the moment. I'll be keeping a close eye and if Cazorla is going up I'll get him back in before he does.

Edit. Yep, you're right. He's down to 89% already.

Only 87% on FPL and he's negative 2,000+ today.

Last season I made a huge mistake being slow to get RVP. Then I kept saying 'sure there's no point now, you've missed the boat', but he kept scoring and I eventually caved. Learning from that this year though, he's straight in. Sorry to see Torres go because I think he could finally have a consistent season, but I can't afford to have them both and Tevez.

Do people think RVP is essential?

WC was used last week and my squad is:

Mignolet / Reina (need to change 1 of these at some point)
    Jenkinson Zabaleta Gallas Rafael Shawcross
    Hazard Kagawa Cazorla Pienaar Dyer
    Tevez Jelavic Graham

    Squad value 101.6
    Money left 0.2

Can't see how I could get RVP in without taking a big points hit or doing it over the course of several weeks :/

Kagawa to Carzola or Graham to Fletcher.......can't decide, will probably need to act soon if I go with Fletcher as won't be able to do it if he rises. Opinions please?

It's an 8 point hit. Zabaleta to a West Ham defender and Kagawa to a 5.0m midfielder and then Jelavic to RVP.

You have too much in your defense, you need to trim it down.

RVP is the main striker at United seeing as Rooney is out, even when Rooney comes back he'll be the point of the attack with Rooney a bit deeper.
