hey lads just a quick question on form, when i am performing pistol squats my knees are not travelling straight out over my toes they are travelling inwards, i.e. if im doin them on my right leg my knee is to the left of my big toe essentially it is the same on my left leg however it feels wrong!! any ideas?? something too tight oe too weak somewhere?

I reckon a physio is your best bet, sounds like a biomechanics issue. How's your flexibility from the hips down?

I do that, if you do it too much (when your walking) it can cause knee pain. A physio is the best option. With me my ITbands are tight and I do some glute exercises to get them stronger.

Ankle mobility, glute strength and just thinking about doing it correctly!

    Hi.
What about a traditional basic squat? Do you have the same problem? If you don't, possibly you're not strong enough for that kind of exercise, that's an advanced one, or you are using too heavy weights. If you do, a muscular tightness / imbalance is more likely, than consulting a physio is the best option.
