Wifi Dongle Problem

Hi i have a wifi dongle(Micro next) when i plug it into MY laptop and do a speed test i only get half a mg although im suppose to have 25mg with UPC.... but when i plug it into my daughters laptop she can get up to 20 mg.... ive tryed it in a different location (a friends house) and i can pick up 3mg.... why is it not…
