    Hi Lads,

    Which club would be best to join in Limerick city for 3rds rugby?

    Beginner in his 30's wanting to improve his fitness and have a bit of craic.

    Living in Dooradoyle.

    any clubs out that side of the city will gladly accept you. g'owen/old crescent or munsters. The link below is to the munster wbesite and has a link to all the clubs. see here. best off choosing a club, contacting them, find out when they train and just turn up and play
    you will be playing gleeson league mainly against the rest of the limerick clubs and get 7/8 games in that and will also have a cup comp at the end of seaon

    Why join a "big"club where the don't give a ****e about low level players there are loads of junior clubs that are made for players pres st Mary's even country teams like Newport would welcome u with open arms

    Hey OP i actually play 3rds rugby in limerick. I play for UL bohs (probably the wrong side of the city for you). We normally get one or two beginners joining the squad every year.

    Standard of rugby is decent considering its thirds. Most teams in the league are sound out and the social element with most teams is brilliant
