ok so I'm trying to loose some wait after having a very bold summer. I'm 5'11 and 11.5 stone want to loose about 1.5 stone. finding it very very hard to shift it!
I'm doing low carb at the moment but find it difficult as i dont eat eggs or fish. so i just feel abit restricted in what i can have.
mainly I'm stuck for ideas on breakfast, lunch as i find a lot of these are egg based.

my diet at the moment is like this

    Breakfast:
tea w/ milk and sugar sub
low fat natural yogurt w/ honey

    Lunch:
2 rice cakes w/ 40g cream cheese and ham
    8 grapes

    Dinner:
    beef steak w/ spinach

    Snacks:
    grapes, strawberrys

so does anyone have tips, ideas, recipes for me please. some days I'm still hungry after eating and don't really know what to do about it or what snacks i can eat that are handy and low carb!!

    thanks!

Well I'm a size 12 now, used to be a 6/8 and 8.5/9 stone. I know that was too light so I would like to be around 10stone size 8/10 now hopefully!
The fat is really just sitting around my belly and hips and won't shift :(

Surely a diet isn't what's needed but exercise?

In my experience, pilates and yoga are really good for working the core and toning your tummy area as well as your arms.. Go 3 times a week and you'll be sorted in a month or two!

Your diet isnt very low carb... try to increase protein & good fats to keep you fuller for longer.

That is not a low carb diet at all, and I'm not surprised you're struggling on it.

A good diet should ensure you feel full most of the time, eat foods that you like and include sufficient levels of protein and healthy fats for energy and satiety.

You can't out train a bad diet. Both elements need to be tackled. An increased level of activity can lead to more kcals being eaten as a "reward" for certain people, and as a result weight gain happens. The exercise suggestions in your post wouldn't be particularly demanding from a calorie stand point either.

Diet is very low carb, and OP is eating VERY little foods. How are you not starving ?

There is protein pancakes etc you can make seen a recipe posted here before. Haven't made them myself as I'm a big egg eater. Meat can be eating as a breakfast if you can stomach it - chicken fillet etc

Lunch - add more veg to your lunch, try a chicken salad , steak salad etc. The more greens & protein you have the fuller you will feel.

dinner - nice piece of meat and plenty of colors (veg)

Grapes are high in sugar try change to blueberries. Nuts are a good low carb snack but only a small amount as they are high in calories. Or an avocado with some almond butter.

I ate 37g of carbs today as per above, that's without counting fruit tho, I thought anything under 50g of carbs a day was considered low carb?

I am doing exercise aswel. I'm doing couch to 5 km and I'm also doing some weights, squats, sit ups ect at home. I do this about 3times a week. Unfortunately I can't afford any classes at the moment so doing it myself! I needed help with my diet really that's why I didn't mention it in the op.

Thanks sunnydub1, those pancakes sound yum, will have a look for some recipes now. No way could I stomach chicken ect in the morning I struggle to eat anything in the morning to be honest.
Im not starving but do feel hungery sometimes, so a little snack to crub this until my main meal would be great! I'm not a big fan of blueberries :( grapes, strawberrys and apples is the only fruit I really.

Can anyone give me a few examples of good fats? Love nuts but can't have them in the house I'd eat them all in one sitting :D

    Thanks!

I gave a really crap reply earlier, sorry... What I meant was as % macros there is a higher % of carbs, but not enough food... It is really hard to stick to it...

I really struggle to eat 1st thing, so now I eat some nuts when I get up, do my gym session then breakfast... Usually eggs, fish or meat with a little veg. Lunch and dinner are pretty similar, meat, fish & veg or salad...

I did 'whole 30' in July, have a look at the primal thread, it has really helped me change what I think of food...
