Subtitles not displaying properly on UPC digital

Just wondering if anyone else has this problem - when displaying subtitles on TV, if two lines of subtitles pop up, the bottom line is out of view below the bottom of the screen. This happens on all channels. I can't imagine it's the telly, as it's a new Sony Bravia. Just wanted to get some input from folks on here before…

This happens on all channels. I can't imagine it's the telly, as it's a new Sony Bravia. Just wanted to get some input from folks on here before ringing up only to be told that it is the telly.

It could well be your tv display/picture settings. First go to your upc box -> Settings -> Tv Settings -> TV format -> Widescreen

Then go to your TV display or picture settings & play around with the different aspect choices - you may have it set to wide zoom, or autowide or something like that. See if you can choose 16:9 & see if that makes any difference. Play around with the different settings & you should find one that suits.
