    Hi there,

Sorry meant to say in the title YEAST free not WHEAT free...

Just looking for an alternative breakfast. I have recently found out that I cannot eat anything that contains sugar or wheat.

Also, I cannot eat porridge or egg as both make me sick.:(

It has been suggested that I could eat eat malt free cereal. Had a look today in the supermarket and felt a bit overwhelmed! Couldn't find anyone of them that clearly said malt-free...

Just wondering if anyone could suggest something?!

WOW! Thanks for that! Food looks amazing!! Yum

Had been feeling very sorry for myself after trying to think of alternatives to current diet! Which I might add was healthy enough!

    thanks for the ideas...

but I honestly don't think I could stomach meat at that time of the morning!

Like porridge used to be perfect until I got sick... so trying to look for a similar alternative to that?

Am willing to try something that's malt-free but couldn't find it from glancing at the dozens of boxes and packets in supermarket..

Yeast Free Gluten Free Pancakes – Candida Diet Recipe

    Gluten Free Pancakes Ingredients
    1 cup brown rice flour
    3 tablespoons tapioca flour
    1/3 cup potato starch
4 tablespoons unsweetened soy milk (I used unsweetened rice milk due to a soy allergy)
    1 packet of stevia
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder (I used feartherweight which is made with potato starch instead of cornstarch due to a corn allergy)
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum (I used guar gum since xanthan gum is derived from corn and we have a corn allergy)
2 eggs (I used 1/2 cup water and two teaspoon milled flaxseed due to an egg allergy)
    3 tablespoons canola oil
    1 – 2 cups water
Cooking Spray (I use the type for the Grill type due to a soy allergy)

    Gluten Free Pancakes Directions
In a bowl, mix together the brown rice flour, tapioca flour, potato starch, stevia, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and xanthan gum.
Stir in eggs (or milled flaxseed mixture), milk, and oil.
Add water a little at a time until batter reaches a good consistency (Not too watery, but not too thick)
Spray a large skillet or frying pan with cooking spray.
Spoon batter onto skillet and cook until bubbles begin to form.
Flip, and continue cooking until golden brown on bottom.
Enjoy immediately or freeze in freezer safe storage bags for easy use later.

Quinoa might be a good alternative?

You can have it on its own, if you like a plain but very filling breakfast, or else add pretty much whatever you want to it!

Takes about as long to cook as porridge does.

Fruit smoothies. I presume naturally occurring sugars in fruit is ok for you? Blend fruit of your choice (I like banana and strawberry) with natural yoghurt and some ice. Delicious!

100% peanut butter (no added sugar or salt) on Nairn's rough oatcakes is really good. Or peanut butter on rice cakes either.

try low fat Greek Yoghurt with a scoop of your favourite flavour protein powder, a dollop of good peanut butter and maybe some Oat Bran for roughage or a banana chopped into it.

tiz more of a dessert really but would be a nice way to start your day !

Natural yogurt, raw oats and seeds mixed together with some fruit. Great breakfast, very tasty and will keep you full. I have this every morning and I'm wheat-free and sugar-free (not fructose or lactose, obviously).
