OSM loaded up brand new Hi Res Bing aerial imagery this week.

If you have an OSM login ( or use gmail as a login) you may easily trace off a very high quality aerial background in the in browser editor (named Potlatch 2) from now on.

Few bits still missing aerials, Dublin/Meath/Louth/Armagh and North Kerry/West Clare are yet to go live. Expected late 2012. Everywher eelse is done.

The map will inevitably undergo a considerable improvement over the next few months meaning OSM will be a perfectly good satnav base map in all of Ireland by end 2012.
