Who would make your side? Based on current players only. I'm sure we'll all (excluding Chelsea fans) have the same captain :P

    4-3-3:

    GK: Joe Hart*
    RB: Ivanovic
    CB: Terry (C)
    CB: Carragher
    LB: Cole
    CM: Lampard
    CM: Gerrard
    CM: Barton
    RW: Young
    LW: Suarez
    CF: Tevez

    * Really didn't want to include him, but being honest, out of the current Keepers, he is prob the most annoying to opposition fans.

Crap thread, why should players be hated by other fans, this sort of tribal stupor is one of the only things i dislike about football in general.

For any rational thinkers out there I would have thought Lampard is generally well liked. Comes across as a decent enough bloke

Id put young on the left and suarez on the right. You may as well play them in position after all.
Id pribably swap young for joe cole though.

Ivanovic I agree with, can be very nasty and then if anything happens to him he throws himself around the place with the best of them.

Not necessarily his own fault, but he's so overrated it pisses me off. There weren't really many good 'keeper candidates.

    He's hardly overrated.

Agree there's too many sound keepers nowadays

Don't think Hazard has been around long enough to be gain inclusion, and Bendtner would prob be in there if I didn't find his comments as funny, hard to stay annoyed at.

Obviously Chelsea fans are going to criticise Chelsea inclusions, and maybe Lampard is a bit harsh, but he was in ahead of anyone else for me. Ivanovic however just frustrates me with his overly aggressive nature. Kolarov tackle still fresh in my mind.

By the Irish press he is. He was/is a very good highlight reel 'keeper, but he was never among the best 'keepers in the league, while the media here would have you think he was one of the best in the world.

Not anymore but he was amongst the best in the world whilst he was with Newcastle.

there aren't any real hateable keepers...so i'm going to put Foster, just because i irrationally don't like the look of him...

    Foster (WBA)
    Hutton (AV)----Terry (Che)
    Gallas (Tot)
    Evra (MU)
    Cattermole (Sun)

    Barton (QPR)
    Nasri (MC)
    Pennant (Sto)
    Hazard (Che)
    Suarez (Liv)

i'm going to confidently say, i think i win.

    :D

my only issues were Foster and maybe Gallas.

Basically, just players you watch that really get you annoyed. Type of players that if anything does go their way you feel injustice has been done. Essentially the complete opposite of those players on opposition teams that you can't help but like such as Torres, Richards, Berbatov, Sharpe etc. There was a thread with regards to these players, so I just thought we'd do the same for their opposites.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 334 ✭✭djfitzerjnr

Why don't you just rename it 'the who can get the most Liverpool players in a hated team thread'

    GK: Is there one?
RWB: Evra ( serial liar, makes up racism charges, the French national team debacle, as the Everton game the other night, is hated by many teams fans )
LWB: Bridge ( for preferring to earn cash and not even play or train properly than take a wage cut and play )
CB: Terry ( affairs, racism charges, tours )
CB: Rio (tweets what he wants about other clubs, and races now too )
CB: Gallas (no loyalty to clubs, said he would score an own goal against his own team rather than play out of position )
CM: Scholes ( awful dirty player, knows what he's doing & gets away with it)
RM: Young ( serial diver throughout his career )
LM: Bale ( serial diver, over-rated, faked injury to get out of olympics )
ST: Tevez ( refusal to play, loves the cash )
ST: Adebayor ( awful awful greedy player with no loyalty, Arsenal celebration )

3-5-2 formation to fit everyone in:
    Krul

    Huth Shawcross Terry

    Barton Cabaye Nolan Tiote Jonas

    Suarez Bent

    Can't think of any keepers.

    Phil Jones---Jonas Olsson -- Terry --- Evra
    Barton---Essien
    Suarez
    Young
    Nani
    Adebayor

Jones is only really there because I was stuck and his face annoys me.

And just to point out this is what I would consider the most hated team rather than players I personally hate.

Ashley Youngs only problem is that he's a **** diver. Damien Duff has to be the most consistent cheat in the game but does it in such a clever way that he never attracts much attention or has much of a reputation. I think a quiet/innocent demeanor also helps, similar to Scholes who deserves more hate for his filthiness despite obv being a great footballer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Reina

    Hutton----Collins----R.Ferdinand
    Evra

    Cattermole
    De Jong

    Nani
    Barton
    Bale

    Adebayor

Dont like Reina, can never trust bald guys.

Never liked Hutton, nasty little so and so, James Collins just seen him play for West Ham and didnt like him, Rio fairly easy to see why.

Cattermole, De Jong, Barton, all have nasty sides to their games that I dont like, more so Barton then the other two but I just cant warm to either.

Nani, Bale, a gust of wind would knock both.

Adebayor, just a general dislike for him as footballer.
