How do you get to the Little Sugar Loaf

    A simple question really, how do you get there, where does one park etc?

    Parking depends on how much of a walk you want. You can approach it from either the Greystones side or the Kilmacanogue side

    From Kilmacanogue, if heading south, take the turn-off immediately after the petrol station. From Greystones, take the turn at the bottom of the dip coming down from Windgates, opposite The Grove

    Have a look at google maps i.e. maps.google.com

    There is a road behind the sugarloaf, marked as kilmurray cottages/temple carriag upper.. drive up this road and you might find a parking layoff spot.

    Not space for many cars - and if you are any way nervous on narrow roads stay well away. Also one thing if you ever take those roads please take care as you will meet a good mix of walkers and horses at any time of the day.

    Taltos is right, from memory there is only really one spot where you could park, and it would only fit one car.

    And this road is not really a road, its a lane..quite dangerous.

    But you could easily park in kilmacanogue and walk up.

    There are other ways to get up there, just have a look on google maps/ google earth. There is a nice view.

    Theres a small layby beside the walking man symbol pointing up sugarloaf on that kilmurray lane it takes 3 or 4 cars..what i do is park in woodies bray car park..then if you walk directly behind woodies theres a track leading up to a gate..hop over the gate and off you go..mind the horses if you have a dog with you till you get a bit of height behind you..
