He's been working hard to ensure Rangers pick up 3 pts for years already so has that experience at least

Reckon he'll find it hard adjusting to the huge change in working environment between the corridors of the SFA and Ibrox? :)

Doubt he would get anything from the SFA with Lawell there 😉

Can't be much worse than McDowall, he's done some brilliant work with Motherwell so I hope he can get the squad going again.

If he does a good job I wouldn't mind giving him the full time job next season.

Are you really telling me you don't think he has any influence at the SFA mate

I'm not sure racism would be classed as "baiting" on Twitter. He's frozen his account, but screenshots don't go away.

Slagging Muslims about the drawing of Mohammed, drawing his own pictures of Mohammed performing a sex act on Jar Jar Binks and sending it to a Muslim is not baiting, or banter.

But King did say he would take the club back to its roots, so for once we can't call him a liar.

You won't like the fact that Chris Graham is under investigation by Rangets for the cartoon. Personally I am happy to see King and Co taking swift action.
Sandy Easdaleis off his resignation with. I pay off has been accepted. I wonder if it is to try and stop the investigation.

The club statement say the investigation will stop, so most likely that's why he stepped down without pay off.

    As for that cartoon:

The cartoon was in pretty bad taste but it was done during the emotional period of tragedy in Paris and I believe it specifically was aimed at Anjem Choudary, who I think most can agree is a vile piece of work. It was also long before he was taken on board at the club and therefore has nothing to do with it.

I doubt he aimed it at all muslims.

Pity they didn't do a quick google search on him before they hired him. There's a ream of insults, sectarian bigotry and threats to "enemies of Rangers" online from him.

As for Kings swift action, he was a bit too swift "suspending" Llambias, Leach and Easedale, considering it's not possible under Scots law.

You may be right but the problem is with the state of things regarding racism etc there is every chance King and Park won't take to kindly to this. King won't want accusations no matter how false thrown at him

Ah, so it was published on a social media site, visible to hundreds of millions of people, just for the attention of one man. I see. Case closed.

This is so laughable, 2 minutes on twitter searching would have found his Jar Jar Binks fetish! I see due diligence is still not strong with Rangers

Think you will find the first two will be nowhere near the board and the other has ran with his tail between his legs

Maybe because it's an absolute non story and they don't care ?

Anyone who knows him knew of his twitter antics.

He also didn't make that picture, he retweeted it to rile up Choudary.

Je suis Charlie and all that, right ?

edit: 'Not possible under Scots law' :pac:

Jack Irvine really needs to read up on what he spouts, there is nothing in Scots law preventing this of happening. They can't be suspended from their office as a director, but can be suspended from any duties. Which is what happened here, plus a resolution to remove them as directors which is a separate matter.

Course he has influence. Makes a refreshing change from Rangers having influence for the past few decades

Oh dear hardly inspired it states clearly The club are investigating it.
nothing like being first with the story and this is nothing like being first with the story ;)

No moral posturing from me over that tweet anyway, Anjem Choudary deserves a lot worse.

Oh dear is right. It's hardly inspired that they appointed him in the first place is it, the guy has form for his internet twitter twatter.

Just dipped into the thread while watchin a match, it's hard to keep up with the farcical events at the Billy Boys Circus at times:pac:

I think he's under the spotlight because of his form for previous internet activity as much as this latest tweeting. They in the new board at The Rangers must have told him when appointing him to lay off the twitter, but he couldn't help himself.

I see Neil McKenzie was in Ibrox for the QotS game. Whatever else you think of King, he's been true to his word about bringing the old values back to The Rangers.

Oh get a grip how was King supposed to know he moron was there. And really these stereotypes are tiresome you got nothing better to throw at us

Considering his account on Twitter is frozen. And that tweet was from January. I won't defend what he did but at least get your facts correct

Every criticism of your club is "tiresome". This must be the new coping mechanism after "obsessed".

The 'old values' thing is a pretty decent jibe really, considering what those values are.

With freedom of speech comes responsibility.

Demonising an entire religion to have a dig at one person could be seen by many to be inflammatory and intolerant... but that's par for the course really.
