Seems to a huge increase ins break in lately, my fathers 2 week old car was stolen a few weeks ago, it was found up the north in an alley behind someones house. It had been there for two weeks before the house owners rang the police, the keys were even left in the ignition! There was not much damage apart from what you expect. It was strange though that the gardai didnt seem intrested in checking the car over for any evidence, it was just towed straight to the garage.

Sorry to hear this. Will keep a look out for you. Try the long term car parks (maybe Dublin airport) I heard they used to store them out there before moving them on, but that was a few years back. Were you in the house at the time of the robbery?

How can sheep being stolen be worse than an S4??? I can't see anyone getting attached to sheep but an S4 I can certainly get attached to!

Really hope you get the car back George. It must be sickening.

    ...or Offaly ;)

This kind of theiving scum are another thing that sickens me as much as the tax/insurance whingers on here. Did you ask your neighbours if they saw anything George?

I may have spotted another member's RS4 here when it was stolen so that will give me the initiative to look out for yours ;)

I really do hope you get it back as it's a bit of a niche car and I'd say you're the only one on here with one. Best of luck with it!

I believe the sheep were also uninsurable so he is taking a 10k hit.

The mirrors and alloys are striking, so should be able to spot it, if I see anything I call Gardaí immediately!

It's the type of car that was nicked for a job. Lots of CIT robberies happening in south dublin recently. If that's the case, it's certainly parked offside in an underground or a barn somewhere. Have a drive around the open apartment blocks in Cabinteely, tullyvale etc. They won't want to have driven it far cos if it's seen and they take a chase, they just have to go out and steal something else.

a black audi went by me heading towards newcastle at polly hops t junction, it was going very quick for such short stretch of road there were 3 lads in the car ,as it went by i looked in mirror the back number plate was missing, there wasnt much smoke so dont think it was diesel, but the smell of burnt clutch was pretty bad. this was at at 7.15 pm. car came from back of baldonnel airport .i didnt see which way at the junction it went. newcastle to left or clondalkin/finnstown to the right .
