Hi all. Long time lurker etc.

My question is, can someone regrow damaged or partially removed muscle? For example, my latissimus dorsi has a scar running across it from the middle of my back around into my chest. This is from an operation as an infant. Recently I've started lifting weights and this lat seems to stop at the line of the scar. My pec on this side of is also slightly differently shaped due to the scar.

I'm wondering, as I get bigger will my muscles grow across the scar or am I doomed to look stunted on this side :pac::eek:

    A removed muscle won't regrow.
Tra Telligman is an ex-mma fighter who famously had one pec, it was removed after an accident as a child.
In your case it will there will probably always be a scar, but you should be able to built up both sides. It probably only looks like the lat muscle stops because of the indentation at the scar or the position of it.

That's how it is starting to look, above the scar line is growing while below is little more than ribs and probably some fat. I'm not too bothered about it though. Thanks for replying!
Going to google that guy now, sounds like an interesting story.
