Noise

Its nearly half past midnight and there is a strange loud noise from outside, (I'm in charlesland) it sounds distant and i can hear it through closed windows. It's like busy traffic or building work but at this time? It's like a humming noise with hammering. Anyone else hear it or know what it is? Cheers

I was out running at 10.30 last night and there was a combine harvester working with large spot lights in the fields beside the seaview apartments and that industrial estate entrance, might have been what you heard.
