    Hi there.:)
    I'm a 22 year old male, who's 9.7 stone and 5 foot 10. I've always walked loads. (at least 2 hours a day)

I'd like to change my lifestyle. Hopefully be able to jog 20k in the future and gain 1 stone in muscle.
I have a plan set up for weight lifting/stretching and jogging but I'm lost with diet.

Right now I eat ok, but I do have a lot of junk.

My new diet looks like this.

    Breakfast
    Wheetabix (four)
    Banana
    water
    barroca

    Lunch
    Centra Chicken fillet roll
    or
Can of tuna with brown bread.

    Dinner
    Pasta
    or
    two cans of tuna

    Snacks
    Strawberries
    kiwis
    carrots.

I'm a student and my next two years are VERY important so I won't have much free time to cook long meals and money is an issue as well:o

But any advice on where I'm going wrong or right in the above diet would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks. :):):)

Read the stickies its a good place to start. A lot of very helpful and easily explained information about nutrition and diet there.

If money's any option stop buying them rolls in centra and bring a healthier lunch with ya.

Less procesed carb's, more protein and veg would be a good start. Egg's are cheap and I would replace the Wheetabix with them as a starting point.

Exactly! You can also buy lots of fruits and vegetables. If you're in a budget, you can still buy a cheap bag of frozen vegetables with peas, corn, carrots, cauliflower and broccoli in it.

The more knowledge on nutrition you can accumulate for yourself the better.

However, as a general quick start rule I would suggest eliminating:
    1. hydrogenated vegetable oils/trans fats
    2. refined/added sugars
    3. grains
    in that order.

Basically eat natural whole foods. Veg, meat, fish, eggs, fruit, nuts. Just keep an eye on the amount of fruits and nuts you are eating.

It's good that you want to gain muscle by eating well and not just eating anything in sight but with your desire to do a lot of cardio you're going to need to significantly up your portion sizes.
Two cans of tuna is not a dinner; it's a snack.
