Putting on weight?

    sorry if title is a little mis leading

    but basicly im 6ft 5, average build im not skinny but for some reason
    i just cant put on weight

    i use to weigh 90kg and for my height thats a healty weight

    i recently weighed myself and now im 80kg
    i was sick last year and lost 10kg in the space of a week from not eating at all

    and now im stuck at 80kg sometimes 75kg and sometimes it pushs too 83kg

    also to mention im a smoker
    i thought that could affect it? but im not too sure on it
    i dont want to become fit as in been able to run for miles just looking for weight gain to build muscle

    i wouldnt mind, but i eat so much fatty foot a week, like example this week over the past 7 days

    i had, a big beef burger and chips, 2 pizzas, a curry then had a healty sunday dinner ( thats just to pile on the weight ) but i aint putting on anything im actually losing weight

    i even tried eating pure healty for a month and still no weight gain, now im trying pure junk fatty foods for a month to pile on the weight and still no progress

    ive been told i have a high metabolism but still i should be able to add a few pounds to meself


    im in the gym go 3 nights a week i dont do cardio cause il lose weight, i do a quick 5minute cardio just to warm up

    i hit the weights , but because im gaining no weight it the muscle will appear, but id rather be abit big on the weight and on me arms and shoulders before i get muscle building their so it will turn out better


    so long story short
    im stuck on 80kg, no matter what i eat, or what i do i just cant put on any weight

    Agreed. Educate yourself on nutrition; start with the stickies. If all else fails GOMAD ftw.

    It's a numbers game, you're simply not consuming enough calories. Start counting and ensure that you're on a calorie surplus everyday

    id prob eat as a big fella if not more ha
    just the weight doesnt come with it
    its like i sh*t it all out

    A Gallon is almost four litres of milk. edit didnt see above post, and just to clarify its full fat milk..

    No you don't, you listed a burger and chips as a meal. If you where eating as a big fella does would would have listed 4 burgers and 4 chips. Most people here have problably had a burger, chips and some onion rings with a coke and not for one second thought they where eating like a big fella :D

    like others have said, you're not eating that much, just make a food diary for a week and calculate the calories and i bet it does not come to much.

    you've probably gone now to a high calorie 3 meals a day, but to put on weight with your hight, you've got have maybe 5 of these meals and snacks in between, if you followed a fat person for a day you'd be shocked at how much they actually eat.

    so get a litre of milk, 2 spoons of peanut butter, 2 bananas, 200grms of porridge, 2 scoops of whey, mix in a blender and drink, have one of them between every meal you normally have so an average of 4 a day, and come back in 6 weeks!!
