    Hi everyone,
Has anyone here tried out the P90X or Insanity programmes?
Are they worth investing in or am I better off just talking to my gym instructor about a programme specifically for me?

Whats your goal? Do you just want to get fit in general? Both programs are very good and if you stick to them you will see good results.

Plenty of folk here have done both programs if you tell use why or what you are aiming for perhaps we could be more specific.
    Regards

I would recommend insanity for fat loss and p90x for strength. Tomorrow is my last day of Insanity, I've lost over two stone during it (along with a healthy diet) and my balance/fitness has improved so much.

Balance? Just wondering what you mean by that because I actually have some problems with my balance that affects me doing lunges and that type of work, I wobble a bit.

That just means you need to do more lunges and single leg work :)

Also, make sure you're not "walking the tight rope" with them. Your feet shouldn't be directly in line.

In fairness it's not just work out related, physio has commented on it too when I'm on the wobble board (trying to get strength back in left leg after bad ankle fracture from motorbike accident), it's just something I've never thought of when working out in the past, so preoccupied with the actual weight loss and fitness aspects.

    Thanks for advice.

I play basketball and my fitness is about 70%. However I feel my strength needs to be worked on. Under the boards I am pushed about quite a bit.
So strength is where I want to focus over the next 2-3 months.
