    Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /courses/.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

That's all I keep getting :/ .. been waiting long enough for this timetable, that message is really annoying me now!

Same here. If anyone is first year Biotechnology, and has gained access, could they throw up the timetable, with exp. physics as the optional subject? Need to go for a walk to calm down before the laptop ends up on the floor!

Haha, 5 lectures on a Friday.

The flip side is 3 12 o'clock starts until tutorials and labs are added.

Going into 1st year science and it says I have Thursday and Friday off.

Can someone tell me how much labs/tutorials will take up?

You'll probably get a lab and tutorial on each day if you're unlucky. They're usually 2-3 hours long and a tutorial is 1 hour and you get one for Physics Maths and Chemistry, not sure about the other subjects.
Get in early for the choices to get the best one to suit you.

    Thanks!

Not quite sure what you mean by this though, could you PM me perhaps to explain!

    Thanks!

Do you get to pick your own timetable or something?

I didn't do your course but I'm pretty sure it's the same for most.. you'll be told a date and time when all time slots will go active and you can pick from them.. in other words you can make the labs and tutorials suit your timetable.. I did it last year so that I had fridays off :)

Lectures are scheduled but there will be a few options of times and days for tutorials and you can pick what best suits you :)

Computer Science and Biology labs are 3 hours each, Ex.Physics is 2 hours. Tutorials are for maths, and ex.physics and last 1 hour each.

Last year the bio/comp sci labs were on thursdays and fridays so it seems like the same this year.

Protip: they'll tell you a time to come in and sign up for labs - GET THERE EARLY! I ended up with a horrible timetable last year cause the good slots were full.

So....how compulsory is a compulsory module?.....and is it possible (forgetting how unwise it might be) to register for 2 modules which are on at the same time?

Compulsory is compulsory, no ways around it. It is possible to register for two optional modules that are on at the same time, but you can't do it if one/both of them is compulsory.

Fck sake. English in Callan Hall followed by English in Iontas! And I haven't even added Geography into the equation yet. That better be fixed, surely Iontas is there FOR English lectures? Last year too, we had one module in JH1 even though there was nothing in Iontas

It's like that every year so it won't be changed. You'll get used to it! Seeing as it's the same department the lecturers will know too so can finish up earlier or whatever. In my first third year, I had 4 lectures in a row on Thursdays - Callan Hall, JH1, Aula Maxima, arts block. I dropped out a few weeks into the semester so didn't end up doing that more than about once thankfully :p

I've something similar to that. I've Chemistry in Callan Hall and everything else in either JH1 or Iontas.
Out of interest, how long would it roughly be from Callan Hall to John Hume Building?

I'd say about 7/8 minutes maybe? I'm not the world's quickest walker though :p

Another question re: distance if you don't mind! John Hume to Callan Hall, how long would that take to walk (on average?)

Don't complain about having a lecture in Callan Hall following one in Ionthas...
I have one in Riverstown Hall following one in Apartments Lecture Theatre...
Is it even possible to have lectures further away from each other? :/

I guess around 10-15mins, It depends on how fast do you walk.
