Lidl/Aldi dupe of Chanel Coco Madamoiselle - Have you seen it?

UPDATE: It is most DEFINITELY from Lidl and not Aldi

After a post in Budget Beauty from VanillaVanilla, who found out about this, I went on the hunt and came up with...well...nothing sadly...
so if anyone has spotted it recently or bought it or has any info at all - do tell!
I personally will travel cross country to get my hands on it!

I'm just back from searching two Lidl stores and there was no perfume there at all, so I asked at both checkouts had they seen/scanned any at all in recent times and the answer I got was no, they couldn't recall any for sale.

So I then went and tried Aldi (just in case) for a look, none at all,
so asked the same question. The guy told me that they had had perfume indeed but that it was part of their 'limited' stock and when it was there it would have been placed along the centre aisles with all the weekly specials, that it must not have been a regular line.
He could even say that it was in a small square bottle. BUT...maybe that wasn't THE ONE...

BUT...just in case I'm going to post a new thread and quote your posts and mine so other Boards users might have a lead because as my OH said to me (after driving me round half the day, bless him) it might actually be a NEW thing that isn't actually available everywhere yet.

I tried the health/beauty sections alright (even made a fool of myself rummaging through their specials - which are power tools this week!) but I'm satisfied that I gave it a good bash anyway!
Good to know it's a a regular line so - should I find it I'll be like "I'll have THESE perfumes please oh, and this shopping too!"

It was actually here on boards that I found out about this perfume. Think it was the thread where someone was looking for an inexpensive perfume. Incidentally I recommended to that person "Provocative Woman" by Elizabeth Arden which is always half price on Sam McCauley's website. It's just over 13 and is divine. I had to stop using the Coco Madamoiselle, which I've been wearing for years, because it's just out of my price range now. Tried the Arden one and loved it but if I can get my hands on this Lidl "Chanel" one I'd be a happy girl

LOVE Provocative Woman too! It's on my Amazon wishlist but now that I know Sam McCauley have it...Mahon Point here I come.

I also love Chanel No5 but can't stretch to it right now.
What I actually have is the deodorant (so-called anyway, it's really a body spray - wouldn't be wasting it underarm, no way!) and believe me it's just as effective, longevity-wise.
BTW I read that No5 is one of the world's longest lasting fragrances on the skin and to quote Coco Chanel "a woman should smell like a woman not like a flower"
The deodorant body spray cost around €33 if I remember correctly but sadly they don't make it in Madamoiselle.
Have it AGES and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than what is it, €78-€105 for just the EDT.

They sold it on weekend before mother's day. I stocked up and bought 5 bottles. I think it is €2.99 eau de parfum. I always keep a bottle in my handbag. It smells very very similar to chanel madamoseille but does not last as long but sure under €3 what do you expect!

Hi girls, I saw it in Lidl in Deansgrange, and Lidl in Bray if there anywhere near you's. Tried it myself and it was lovely ! Picked up a bottle for my mum too and she's very fussy on perfumes and she loved it I sprayed it in the morning and around 7 or 8 in the evening was in the car with my sister and she noticed it and complimented !

I heard back from the manageress in my local store.

Apparently Lidl only buy in a limited amount of non-food stock to enable them to keep prices down.
They don't reserve non-food stock. Stores will carry that stock until it has all been sold. So some stores will sell out of an item in 2 days, others may carry it for a year.

So the long and short of it is.... We don't know if Lidl will carry that perfume again. It depends on availability and whether Lidl decide to buy it in again.

I think my local Lidl got a load of it in around Valentines Day but they just never sold out

On a middle shelf in the middle of the aisle with shower gels, mens razors, skincare etc in the front half of the shop. Took me a while to spot them though, they don't stand out! There was a full tray with 16 boxes there at lunchtime yesterday before I got my hands on them

Got the last unopened bottle this evening in Moore Street. Didn't realise they were so cheap!

About the scent: smells similar when first sprayed but smells different after a while.

You asked them what stores have them in stock but they didn't specifically answer - I'd go again and ask 'ever-so-kindly' for an update - have they 'heard' back from their purchasing dept?
Some posters have said where they got theirs from lately so there's bound to be more out there somewhere.
Could they check their stock database, I wonder?

If all else fails there's always eBay...but p&p and all would add up close to the following...

And I've seen it in Debenhams in 'deodourant' spray, I hadn't before, maybe it's new out. BTW I loathe to use the word deodourant in the same sentence as Chanel I have the No5 in this 'deodourant' but believe me it's as lasting as EDP.

Strongly considering getting Madamoiselle now that it's there. The real thing too.

Just picked up a bottle in Tyrellstown Lidl this evening. I only bought it because of this thread. I thought there was no way this was going to live up to the hype....but its absolutely GORGEOUS!

Aaaaand....they have the body lotion and shower gel sets for €5.49. There was about 30 bottles on display of the perfume right in the middle of the cosmetics aisle. If anyone wants me to pick up a bottle PM me.;)
