Edge 800 maps

well lads, i bought a garmin edge 800 a while back and am looking to get some proper maps onto it, are my only options the official maps from garmin that will set me back a nice bit?

legal? if so could you step by baby step tell me how they work....pretty please sick of looking at a map with just primary roads

Or try Talkytoaster, works great for me, every road I've ever tried in Ireland is on there. Martin gives great support too.
