Cancel online transaction with AIB visa

    Hello ,

    I have an AIB credit card . I bought a tablet computer 12 days ago and it has not arrived . The order is listed as processing on the company's web site .
    I want to cancel this transaction but the vendor is not answering any emails and the phone number seems to be just a voice mail .

    If I contact AIB visa how likely are they to cancel this transaction ? Has anyone been in this situation recently ?

    Their T&C states the following .

    78. Save to the extent that we are unable under applicable law to disclaim such liability, we are not responsible for the delivery or condition of any goods and/or services paid for by a Card. We accept no liability for any loss or damage suffered in connection with any goods and/or services paid for by a Card.

    You cannot just cancel a transaction as such. You authorised the seller to get paid on the basis of them delivering a product to you.

    You can however initiate a chargeback based on non delivery of the item if the seller is not responding.
