getting the popcorn ready, this should be...entertaining.

on a serious note, i feel for the miami fans, their team is being ran into the ground and this year everyone gets an opportunity to get an inside look on how things are going on the inside...i don't expect it to be pretty. should make for great TV at least.

    Just finished watching last nights show;

I love this show, i will keep it spoiler free till others get a chace to watch; but Ocho is a funny f0cker

Brings the human end to the football story that is well hidden behind the stats we spend most our time looking at and the underdog stories too

Three minutes into the show and that excited young offensive guard learned harsh realities

    Sorta cruel :(

I'll be rooting for him to catch on somewhere

Yea whats worse is you are being put through a conditioning test for no reason.

Ocho is priceless. Philbin seems like good guy.

Who people think will win the QB battle
Feel bad for Moore being number 2 already. He has no chance. I wouldn't be surprised if Tannehill wins the job.

Brilliant. I'm on the last episode of the Bengals from a few years back. Ochocinqo is some character. Looking forward to this now.

Its one of the best sports documentaries going and doesn't gloss over the training aspects.

Chad is the star of the show, couldn't believe it when he walking into the Coaches meeting.

Really hope the young TE makes it, but considering how rubbish he is at blocking, would he not be better off competing for a Slot Reciever spot? Its not as if the Dolphins are loaded with Talent there.

Tannehill looks pretty good so far, and really impressed with Matt Moore's leadership.

    Bring on week 2!

    Basketball background should be well used to making a grab and then bringing it through traffic slot receiver would be a much better option;

Jets have brought in an outsider in Hayden Smith to tryout for TE; He's come from a pro rugby background, completely a spot he should be tried out at used to hits and handling the ball too

mental not using that TE as a Wideout! How they think he'll become a starting TE is beyond me tbh.

Also his mrs is quality, much hotter than that Tannehill bird!!

Johnson is such a character ! Walking into the coaches meeting and then the little press conference.
The young guy getting cut at the start was just heartbreaking !
Lauren Tanehill looks very good in a pair of shorts !

btw here's a Dolphin's beat writer's take on the show:

    - They didn't show how well Garrard has really been in practice to earn the no. 1 spot. He's been running the offense better than the other QBs in the WCO. Moore hasn't been accurate enough, which is crucial in WCO
    - Les Brown isn't being pushed around nearly as much as the show portrays. It's exaggerated for effect.
    - The respect for Moore by teammates is a bit overblown as well. He claims Garrard commands more repsect.

Cant wait to see more of Jake Long. Loved his little speech to the linemen telling them how bad they sucked on their third day. Looks like we'll be seeing more of the linemen and Reggie Bush next week.

Also, if we get to see a good bit of Richie Incognito, he'll be the star of the show ;)

As Hard Knocks goes I thought it was a poor enough episode.

No real characters standing out unlike the Jets and Cowboys seasons.

Seen all the usual "showmanship" from Chad before with the Bengals so nothing new there.

Jets have Rex Ryan. Cowboys have Jerry Jones. They are 2 of the most charismatic/egotistical (delete as appropriate) guys in the NFL.

Philbin seems to be a rather understated guy and his conversation with Chad about swearing gave you an insight into his persona.

One thing I was disappointed about was the lack of air-time given to the Dolphins cheer leaders. This needs to be rectified!!

yup, it did - the guy dealt with it horribly imo. if they have any serious issues this season there could be trouble.

What did you think was horrible about it?
I thought he handled it grand, he's setting up a very professional organisation and he's dealing with his players in a civilised manner. It wasn't a big issue but he just told his player what he expects from him, job done and move on

Wow just reading a bio on this Smith guy. He must be an incredible athlete. Pretty much went straight into pro Heinken Cup rugby as an adult after playing basketball.

At 6'7 and 260 pounds he is the perfect size for a modern TE. Considering his back ground his blocking skills should be good and his catching ability should be good also. If he adjusts to the game and learns the game and knows his playbooks he should do well. Basketball players alone have proven in the past and present to be great TE i.e Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, Kevin Boss and Jimmy Graham. The Raiders have taken a punt on Andre Hardy also who also played BBall in College.

I would agree with you. He is trying to lay down the law without being an ass or calling Chad out in front of the team trying to be the big man.

I liked the way he handled it.

lets see how he handles Chads head butting domestic!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,929 ✭✭✭JaMarcus Hustle

    Ocho claims she headbutted him.

Given that Ocho has gone his whole career without getting in this kind of trouble off the field and how out of character this would be, and that this girl is a well known psycho who had just discovered he was cheating - I'm inclined to believe Ocho at this early stage tbh.

He is going to find it hard to prove that though. Lets face it he will get blamed for it without witnesses unless his lawyer builds a good defense if this goes to court. Without sounding sexist but women cried wolf over getting equal rights but its common for courts to believe women when it comes to domestic violence. I tend to believe him also when he says she hit him as I have seen some crazy b1tches in my time :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Also, we don't really know if he was cheating. I'm sure Ocho and his entourage have girls falling at their feet and it could easily have been one of his friends who dropped or left the receipt in the car. That and the fact that if he was cheating he surely wouldn't be stupid enough to leave a receipt in his car.

I really hope it turns out he's innocent anyway.

Apparently Chad found the receipt, not the other way around.
