1.25, 2.5 and 5kg steel plates - best value?

I need at least 6x of each of the above but can't find anywhere that isn't a compete rip off.

Just so we're clear I'm considering circa €2/kg to be good value.

Someone help me out and give me a good reliable retailer (olympic style, not standard!)

Hanley I would ring these punters & see what they offer you if you can't get a cheap retailer here. They are meant to be able to offer deals over the phone but not sure if that includes plates. I would give Strength Shop.co.uk a shout as well. Pullum sports sell these as well but think their prices are fairly high.

The effort of trying to do deals and that sh*t on something so small...

As for powerhouse, I think it's the only option tbh. Ridiculous that it comes to that, but there's no where in Ireland that seems even remotely realtistic on price. And if they are priced high in the anticipation of dealing down, guess what - your unrealistic prices just lost you a sale.

I was looking for microplates before (0.625Kg or so) and including posting etc, and I figured it was cheaper to go to a local metal worker and get him to whip up something with steel plate/heavy washers etc.

Not sure if that applies as you increase weight, but worth checking.
